Climate Change Report

Hence let's study how to live with it, that's not exactly doing nothing now is it.

If you want to talk about people who are doing nothing let's talk about people in your "we have to do something" camp. As a country we could and we should have almost phased out gasoline, diesel and heating oil by now. We have some of the largest natural gas reserves in the world, there is no logical reason why the majority of our automobiles and trucks are not powered by NG and there shouldn't be a home in this country heated by oil/kerosene. The biggest reason why we are not taking advantage of this cheap and clean source of energy is the environmental wackos who protest and fight every damn pipeline. These are the same people who want cheap, clean and RELIABLE electricity yet fight and oppose the most reliable clean source of electricity we have, nuclear.

While I do not subscribe to the theory of man made global warming and believe it is a naturally occurring phenomena, I do like clean water and air. I have no problem working to eliminate refined petroleum products and coal as long as we have viable alternatives like natural gas and nuclear. I think your camp would have an easier time selling its charade if you embraced practical alternatives instead using fear and oppression.

Hog brought his pail today.

Sacred to address this post Mick?

What I see is how to live thru it for say 10,000 years are buildings that are energy independent and environmentally controlled where you dock your land ship not able to go outside unless you're in an environmentally controlled suit. Are you aware of the implications a 10 degree increase on the earth's crust has on tectonic activity?
If 2 degrees is going to kill everyone how would we even get to 10 degrees?

Sure, there are plenty of alternatives to fossil fuels that have less of an impact on the environment. We should explore and promote them and by doing that we have created new industries. So why hold on to the fossil fuels?

Didn't read or can't comprehend my post.

I would like to get this straight. We need to study how to live with it and by living with it you propose to go to alternative energy other than fossil fuels because which, according to your post, you don't believe that burning fossil fuels has any affect on climate change. Basically you think there is nothing we can do so we shouldn't research it let alone try to do anything. Defeatist attitude.

Ok there was a thrid option, you are just dumb.

Natural gas is a fossil fuel. I didn't mention researching alternatives, we already have alternatives to gasoline, diesel and coal it's natural gas and nuclear. Both would fit into your "do something" category yet are widely opposed by global warming alarmist, why? What's wrong with running NG pipelines all over the country to increase distribution of the cleanest fuel we have and building nuclear plants?

Is it your belief we have the ability to stop an ice age / global heating?

Should we try?

Apples to oranges comparisons but yeah, if an asteroid is heading our way we should try to keep it from hitting us. As for the ozone layer, I don't know. That is not comparable to climate change.

Your still avoiding my questions about NG and nuclear.

If the climate idiots were serious about fossil fuel reductions you’d see nuke plants being built at a record pace as well as solar power grid technology. Screw this peanut residential solar stuff it’s a scam. Attack the power grid first.

The sun is the single largest power source in the solar system and it’s free. The current panel efficiency is only around 30% but who cares the cost basis for raw material is zero.

And let’s talk tidal action energy capture.

The world isn’t really serous about the elimination of fossil fuel dependency. Plain and simple.

I don't have a problem with them. What was the question?

Why are the same people the most concerned about global warming the same ones that fight every NG pipeline and nuclear plant?
Because they really aren’t interested in fixing their claimed “problem”! In fact I have no idea what exactly they think they’re fixing!
