never said we had, but I know actual scientist are looking into it. Think they should stop? Hog is contending that we should stop funding such things.

That's a good question. if the outcome is inevitable regardless of funding or action steps taken, we would be foolish to fund research.

I'm not as certain as hog that it is inevitable, but something that is inevitable would be a fruitless endeavor.

Humans split the atom. What the hell else do you want to do with the brightest scientific minds in the world? I don't think having them design a bigger better bubble to deal with climate change is the best course for them. Humans are capable of contributing to climate change in a negative way so why is it so hard to think we can have a positive affect?

Fine, spend a little researching to see IF it can be stopped. The better ROI is to figure out how to live with it.

Hopefully that is something we can adapt to over time. We are humans and that is what we do.

Man is not attempting to stop the normal cycles. Man is attempting to better control the abnormal variable of man's impact from turning the normal cycles catastrophic.

There the pellets are hauled by train to the Drax Power Plant … and burned to generate electricity … so that Britain “can meet its renewable fuel, sustainability and climate protection targets” – and avoid burning the coal and fracking for the natural gas that the country still has in abundance.

This deforestation is what passes for environmental, climate and sustainability “ethics” today. And it all gets back to the quixotic quest to regulate global climate.

if you are talking active solutions, I forget the fancy name for it, but "adverse weather reactions".

the world is made up of any number of different climates, there is no one solution fits all. and any active weather control (positive green actions) would have the same issues we have with climate change now. unless you hold it in perfect balance going negative on carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be just as impactful as increased carbon levels.
