Hog, you have made it abundantly clear what you think the "greater good" is. Whatever makes hog money is the greater good. You are unwilling to sacrifice anything for the greater good. You think in dollars and nothing else. Admit it you don't even care.We have a different idea of what the greater good is.
Your working theory and solution is to do nothing. In case you don't know, warming and cooling of the earth causes extinctions. You can't live if you're extinct.
What I see is how to live thru it for say 10,000 years are buildings that are energy independent and environmentally controlled where you dock your land ship not able to go outside unless you're in an environmentally controlled suit. Are you aware of the implications a 10 degree increase on the earth's crust has on tectonic activity?Unless you figure out how to live thru it...
Yep. I’m also aware there is no solid evidence any such temperature shift has or is occurring of that magnitude... regardless of how much you people screech that it is.What I see is how to live thru it for say 10,000 years are buildings that are energy independent and environmentally controlled where you dock your land ship not able to go outside unless you're in an environmentally controlled suit. Trump moving us in the right direction?Hence let's study how to live with it, that's not exactly doing nothing now is it.
If you want to talk about people who are doing nothing let's talk about people in your "we have to do something" camp. As a country we could and we should have almost phased out gasoline, diesel and heating oil by now. We have some of the largest natural gas reserves in the world, there is no logical reason why the majority of our automobiles and trucks are not powered by NG and there shouldn't be a home in this country heated by oil/kerosene. The biggest reason why we are not taking advantage of this cheap and clean source of energy is the environmental wackos who protest and fight every damn pipeline. These are the same people who want cheap, clean and RELIABLE electricity yet fight and oppose the most reliable clean source of electricity we have, nuclear.
While I do not subscribe to the theory of man made global warming and believe it is a naturally occurring phenomena, I do like clean water and air. I have no problem working to eliminate refined petroleum products and coal as long as we have viable alternatives like natural gas and nuclear. I think your camp would have an easier time selling its charade if you embraced practical alternatives instead using fear and oppression.
