Had a good year in 2019. Also decent in 2020 (short season 6 games). Been.in college since 2018...

I kinda wish Heupel would just roll with the guys he has.

Yeah I wish he’d stop looking for ways to make the team better/deeper

haha right?

I’m with ya. We need it honestly. There’s a reason they were looking for a transfer back. Jefferson didn’t work out and they kept looking. It’s bc they don’t want to get in a position like they were in last yr. it’s weird people can’t understand that. Would give you 3 solid backs, better depth and it would allow the two freshman to develop in practice in yr 1.

It's not a matter of understanding or not.
It's preference.

This guy can play 2 more seasons I think.
Not sure he's better than anyone we have right now including the freshman.

I do trust Heupel. Adding this kid wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
Evidently he feels like his room is still too young..which it kind of is. But experience is the best teacher

Unless Whitehead breaks out and surprises everyone, we are still missing that short yardage power back. I think JWT has the potential to become the do it all RB that you need, but he's just a freshman, and not there just yet. Whitehead is the only 220+ RB on the roster right now.

NGL seems weird. We’ve been looking under every nook and cranny for a RB all offseason. The staff clearly not satisfied with our room. Which is odd to me because I think it’s solid and deep.

But I’m also a homer.
I think it's just the trust factor tbh. You got Small, who hasn't proven he can stay healthy, Wright who is more of a shifty back, JWT/Sampson who are unproven freshman, Whitehead who is really more of a short-yardage guy I feel like. Would be nice to have a insurance policy

This guy is not a “power back” looking at his highlights, but he’s 220 and looks better than wright imo. I thought Jefferson could come in and be that 1-2 punch with small and this guy is definitely capable. I think he’s being promised the starting job at Purdue though so it could be a tough pull

I think we have three solid options... But we had three solid options last year... And then Wright was in there as a freshman playing every snap multiple games.
