CNN vs Trump

Trump had a big voter push because of the entitlement of left anointing Hillary next. Took voters for granted
She did as well. She mostly sat on her a** the days leading up the election. Trump was out there campaigning until the last minute.

Please, that is such a moronic position.
Journalist have always had to balance true journalism against their own beliefs and positions.
Some do it better than others. It has always been that way and it will always be that way.

Trumpism was founded on convincing people that everyone and everything is equally bad....it's absurd, and only a mentally weak perosn whould allowe themeselves to buy in.
So Trump was wrong in calling the media out for decades of telling people what to believe? Only a weak person believes that media is the good guys…you fell for the media manipulation.

I don't disagree with any of that. It's very worrisome.
Agreed. But the people who can do something about it (leadership of both parties, especially candidate selection committees) seem to think continuing doing things they way that got us into this mess in the first will suddenly start magically working correctly.

No doubt all politicians lie but Trump is next level. Nobody comes close to him as a lying, morally bankrupt, con artist grifter with just an abysmal personality. How anybody can support him is beyond me. Pick DeSantis or somebody. Anybody But Trump. If he is the Republican nominee, I guess I’ll be sitting out again. It is just pathetic the choices we are given at all levels of government. The absolute bottom of the barrel on both sides.

The thing that's weird about Trump is that most politicians lie to get out of a jam or to make themselves look better. As my Grandpa used to say "that guy would climb a tree just to tell you a lie" it's like it some sort of compulsion

Both got what they wanted. CNN got its rating boost and Trump got is 60 minutes of air time again.

You have to wonder if some of the Finance people at CNN are secretly rooting for Trump for the $$$ it will bring.

It is looking like corrupt Biden versus lying Trump again... Go ahead and prepare yourself.

Much of what you've said in your last few votes has some validity.
But the big orange elephant in the room that you continually overlook, or at least dangerously downplay, is that Trump is a horrendously despicable human. There are many who are desperately seeking change who absolutely hate Trump, and many others who support Trump precisely because he is horrendously despicable. You could replace the latter with the former by dumping Trump for someone who is not horrendously despicable. You asked about the two categories and claimed people underestimate one and overestimate the other; well that's inevitable and the unavoidable result of having Trump as the face of the movement. Any of the good in the movement is completely overshadowed by the bad.

As long as Trump is the face, it's doomed for failure. Not sure why so many cannot comprehend that simple truth and continue to shoot themselves in the foot. It invalidates everything else they try to claim.

I do feel compelled to remind you that I have consistently and continually identified Trump with almost every negative adjective I could muster without using direct profanity. I think I have even used most of the “d” ones such as disgusting and dishonourable. I may have overlooked “despicable” though but I will be glad to apply that one as well. So I think you are somewhat wide of the mark in identifying me as someone who overlooks Trump’s massive character flaws.
As to your other point, don’t worry, I am one of the conservatives working tirelessly to “dump” Trump as you admonish. I will wake up grinning from ear to ear the morning after he drops out of the race for the nomination. But I would be remiss if I failed to point out that, while you may dislike the alternative less from a character standpoint, you will absolutely detest them even even more than Trump for a policy standpoint. Be careful what you wish for. For if Trump is a problem to you because of his personality, he is even more so to us from an effectiveness standpoint. He is far too quixotic and undisciplined to bring about the true deep seated reform that this nation needs.
Plus, I just don’t like detestable (ah, there’s another good “d” one) bullies like Trump. I loved Reagan largely because he was a gentleman. You can fight your opponents rigorously while still being courteous and kind at the same time

A well educated black man has to be bought and paid for if he’s a Republican? Or is it that he is educated enough to stand down the MSM establishment that you don’t like?
It’s funny to me that your ilk now considers lying faster than someone can refute them an "own" or a "stand down".

It’s also funny every time a Republican of color gains any prominence he’s embraced in such a "Look! We’re not racist! We have a black guy!" way.

Worked out swell for Herman Cain.

So if Byron is the VP candidate, will he join Trump when he dines with neo-Nazis? Or will he be busy shaking white hands and kissing white babies?

Who are these "neo-Nazis" Trump dines with?
