there's so much discussion about needing more "tackle bodies", well, 6'6" approaching 3 hundo....not sure about the wingspan, but that's a tackle body. get him developed the next couple years, keep bringing guys in here like this, or better, and we'll start having some depth again along the entirety of the OL. i think the only way you can be disappointed in any way shape or form about picking up a kid like this is if you, unrealistically, think he needs to be a contributor early.

AP said they measured his arms at 34” which is the length the NFL likes their tackles arms to be no less than.

There are always injuries to ankles, knees and shoulders that we need the best 1b OL that we can find to step right in without missing a beat.

There’s several of these (finished) types that portal from FCS or lower FBS programs and it never fails that the usual suspects pine over them and decry our “failure” if they go elsewhere…most recently Ajay Cornelius. Those are best case scenarios but hardly outliers in today’s football. Seems to be Ellarbee’s modus operandi and I’m waiting for the first confirmed failure with that approach.

I love. Continue bringing in mostly 6’5 or taller guys and the ones who can’t pass block on the perimeter get moved inside.
