Coach Franklin Please explain the love for this guy

Vandy to the Compass Bowl with an 8-4 record. Their fans are *****ing about a snub job. If they don't pack out Birmingham, then they should be able to take an introspective look and realize that their fanbasw is the reason no big bowls want them and why CJF will ultimately leave.

Yeah, if they have to beg and plead with fans and offer deals to get anyone to a home game, they're not going to be highly desired by bowls.
I thought they would get picked up by the Music City Bowl, because that bowl has actually had decent crowds when Vandy's played in it, but if the MCB didn't want them, they were going to fall to whichever bowl had no other option.

We have sucked for a minute, but Vandy's "success" is crap. I dont care if they're Vandy and its never been done...its Crap. UCF has had more success than Vandy....ever, suck on that.

No, I'm saying Frank is doing what has already been done a few times by some other Vandy coaches. You and Lawrence seem to want to put him up on some pedestal because of what he's done the last 2 years. His first year he went 6-7. He would've never made a bowl game back then with a 6-6 record.

He's done well for a Vandy coach. I'm not denying that. I'm just saying he hasn't really beaten anyone worth a damn in 3 years. He beat UGA without Gurley and a number of their better players. That's their best win in his entire tenure. His only other wins against a team with a winning record is a 7-6 Ole Miss and 7-6 NC State. Sorry, I'm not as easily impressed as you seem to be.

And if you honestly think he would've beaten a UT or Fla if they had the rosters stocked like they did in the 90's then we'll completely agree to disagree. He's had the fortune of a patsy schedule and the SEC East heavyweights being down. He never would've beaten UGA, UT or Fla unless they were rebuilding or crippled with injuries.

Georgia was a mash unit when the Vols lost to them! It's not the freaking 90's anymore. There's more than 2 good teams in the SEC.

Conjecture.

Give me Franklin over Oregon's coach, but you have no basis for making that statement.

Just my opinion but if Franklin is winning 8 or 9 games at Vandy while playing in the SEC. He would win 11 or 12 with Oregon's talent in the Pac12.
