Coach Graham explains why he left Tennessee

Just my two cents...

I honestly believe it was related to our offensive scheme. Coach Jones deploys and up-tempo spread, whereas FSU utilizes a traditional down-hill pro-style rushing attack. Scheme, combined with reuniting with Coach Sanders were probably two of the biggest factors. Again, just my two cents

A prophet amongst us....I'm glad you have internet access so you can discard that water stained "THE WORLD IS ENDING..REPENT" poster board

The world is ending and there is a repenting way...but what does that have to do with football? The OP is all doom and gloom but I think it's sarcasm at it's worst.

So he took less money for the job at fsu? That means its even more of a pay cut, because at Florida , everything is way more expensive than Knoxville.

Translation: "Coach Jones and his staff were all friends. I felt left out. I wanted better pay and a promotion to recruiting coordinator but realized that Jones has loyalty to his buddies. Coach Jones expects his staff to work really really really hard. I have four kids. I would like to see them every now and again. The SEC is tough ya'll!"

I am ready to move on. We are the ONLY people in the world talking about CJG.

The article says UT countered the offer, it doesn't say he was offered more money than FSU offered. I think he wanted to have more responsibility. It is hard for a coach to break into the hierarchy of a staff. Our new OC & recruiting coordinator are both young coaches. Jay may have seen the glass ceiling!

the writing is on the wall! He knows butch and his gang of cronies from the big least can't get it done!

Ut is a sinking dumpster fire ship! Why else would tee turn us down to stay with kiffin and jay leave us to go pal around with sal "3rd and 37" sunseri?

We never should have fired dooley! 5-7 is the best we're gonna get, guys. Might as well accept it and watch vandy take over the state.

Prolly pretty close to the truth. For all the "fans" talking bad about Graham, what is wrong with you people?

He made a choice to go to a job he felt better about. What's wrong with that?

Do you think UF is speaking badly of Robert Gillespie? I don't think so. Is he not a "GFL" for coaching at a rival? How stupid.

I'm not really sure what to even think about this. I wish I could interpret tone through text like this but I can't..

I wish the best for him. When I start to get upset at him for leaving. I just picture him running down the side line for 80 yards against Alabama to win the game in 96 and I feel better!

I would think that he would take the job to better himself which usually means more money. Not the case here.

Side note: I have no ill-will towards Graham. I hope he does well where ever he is at.

More money or more responsibility. Doesn't look like he got either. The only other thing I can think of would be location. Maybe his wife wanted to work on her tan?

I wish em the best too. You never know...he could end up back here as a oc or even hc someday.

About him ... Maybe more of a coaster than a worker ... I would rather have some disappointed that they made 300 than someone really happy making 275. You think he felt the same at UT martin?

You're making assumptions about something you know nothing about.
