This tells me all I need to know about the respect level that jones has from his players.

One hell of a positive sign going forward!!

I agree....means they know that he was destined for a bigger program....they had his best interests in their hearts...it sounded like they were proud of him....

No question. When you make a move that betters yourself those that love you applaud that move even if it takes that person away! Biggest thing for me all day!!!

Well its either really good or really bad...

There were probably folks who would have applauded if Dooley left willingly....

The applause made the rumor about him keeping his captains updated daily on this process very believable.

Says a lot about the caliber of players he had at Cincy and the relationship he cultivated with them. I wasn't overly impressed with the presser, but he seems like a stand-up guy and real football coach. I'll give him a chance as the coach, but I still believe his bosses need to tighten up their end of things asap.

I'm out of state but I thought I heard or read somewhere that he said UT was his dream job. If that is true that's great. Go VOLS!

coach speak
it turned into his dream job, when Hart called on Thursday...

I mean come on he was born and raised in Michigan, went to school in Michigan..
So if he said Michigan or Michigan State was his dream job, it would be a little more believable
