i would think that he already knows that without all these idiots sending him hateful twitter messages, calling for him to be fired before he even coaches a down, and calling him loser. Give the man a chance. let's see what he can do first.

Who in our fan base actually thinks we are better today when Derek Dooley 2.0 is hired today. Do you think we are better off recruiting against and playing against Saban, Muschamp, Spurrier, Miles, Reicht, and now the Coach from Wisconsin has been added to that mix. I am sure we have all of these Premiere Coaches shaking in their boots. Think so?

I am ashamed to be associated with Tennessee fans today. Jones deserves a chance. I hope he makes all of you eat a lot of crow.

People bashing this man before he has coached a game here are just pathetic losers. It's their own fault they allowed themselves to buy into this "homerun" hire idea. "Gruden is coming". It's your own damn fault! Tennessee has NEVER spent top money for a coach. Why was it all a sudden going to change? Butch Jones is a massive upgrade over Dooley. Just look at his resume. Don't talk trash about Jones because his name is not Gruden. Butch Jones has won 50+ games in college. How many has Jon Gruden won? Exactly!! Jones is the new HC and you can either support him or go cheer for Alabama. Your crying and talking trash on a mans twitter just shows how lame and pathetic you are.

People said the same about Dooley, and people posted the same things about Dooley you're posting, when he was hired. Didn't really work out that well for us.

All I need to see is 1 thing. Dooley lost more games than he won. Jones has won almost 2X as many as he lost. He has won conference championships. He is BE coach of the year in the same conference of the man everyone just acted like they wanted. Butch Jones is Charlie Strong for 1/2 the price. I have NO issue with this hire. UT has never spent top SEC money on a coach. Those expecting it to change was just setting themselves up. Butch Jones is a very solid football coach. This team with a capable coach in 2012 would have won 9 games and be playing a bowl game in Florida. Jones can and will get us there.

Not a proven leader or coach. Simply ran Brian Kelly's program. He's rebuilt nothing. WHy not hire Tee martin. Give him the money because he has done something for Tennessee. This program deserves continued meltdown. Fire all that are responsible and I'm convinced it's not all Hart.

Maybe you saw a different press conference than I did. I never heard "home run" once in that presser. He said he was going to go hire a coach that could get Tennessee back to it's rightful place in the SEC and beyond. IMO, Butch Jones can do that. Get behind this man.
