Dooley sent out the team for their team picture at the end of the LSU game.....My gosh that's hilarious but you are right!
It is always the same here.. awful coaches and yet still idiotic loyal clueless fans….

Once upon a time I was one too… no more!
We deserve the beat coaches!

Yesterday was a fireable offense for that entire defensive sequence at the end of the game. We will probably make a Sweet 16 run and she will be back for another year. I’ve seen enough to know she isn’t the one to bring the program back among the elite. I’m not sure who Danny White would hire but I’m sure he can find someone better.

I agree. We will probably be a round of 32 exit with at best a sweet 16. But anyone that watches us play, knows we are truly an undisciplined team with the basketball in our hands. Way too many turnovers all year and defensively we break down way too much. Why prolong the inevitable, make a move and find someone else to try to move us back to the elite. Maybe the coach at Vandy needs to be considered. Just a thought.

I agree got to take and look at her record against ranked team and be very disappointed really embarrassing for the university she has only won 12 games and lost 35 has is that fire able it’s self

Every game seems to be a tale of two halves. No consistently throughout. How can someone explain scoring 6 points in the first quarter compared to scoring 50 points in the second half? It’s a combination of focus and basketball IQ. That falls on the head coach for not having a disciplined team. I will never fault a coach for missed shots and hustle turnovers but whenever a team continues making the same mistakes and then whenever you have a SEC Championship laying in your lap for the taking your team just stops playing basketball. Unacceptable.

Add out of shape, NO want it to the list. The staff decision of how to play D on that last shot shows you all you need to know.

Gavel it out, Mr. Chairman...

If you defend the inbounds pass the odds of a half court lob play is one of the worst percentages out there. 2 things you don’t do with 1.1 seconds left at half court is not guard the inbounds passer and not pick everyone up man to man. It’s not that hard really.

Why would you guard the inbounds passer

Why would you guard the inbounds passer
Because with 1.1 seconds the pass is going to have to be perfect to even get a shot off. If the pass is just a little off it’s over. But we didn’t guard the passer or who she threw it too. But there is a segment on here that think we defended it perfectly. With only 1.1 you guard everybody it makes actually getting a good shot off almost impossible. It’s basketball 101 actually.

LV have continued their culture of losing now with Holly at the helm. If having former UT(Pat) players here as coaches means more than winning then the team will keep traveling down the same path. I've checked and the coaches currently winning in lady's college basketball at high levels were not Pat players.

I disagree, if you guard everyone and there is a miscommunication on a screen you’re beat. I would keep key guarding the bucket(free safety), nobody guarding the inbounder( she can’t score from out of bounds), and everyone else matched up. Everyone has their way of doing things for sure but the way harper did it was strange.

It really doesn't matter what happened yesterday, it is about KJH’s body of work since she has been at Rocky Top. She does not deserve another year. I know she is not going anywhere but she just does not have the ability to take the Lady Vols anywhere near the top of the heap. The Lady Vols deserve better.

You work on these types of situations in practice or you should. With only 1.1 everybody should be aware. I maintain the inbounds pass is key. Either way you don’t let any shooter that wide open. And right in front of goal to boot. But it shouldn’t have come down to a out of bounds play. They let them off the hook when they fouled the player at half court with 1.1 left.

I see more than half here polled want to fire Kelly after the SC game Saturday. I disagree. SC had the advantage of a perfect storm. Even with no timeouts, Dawn Staley was able to set up a play which Tenn reacted to. Then Dawn changed her mind at the last split second as she saw there was only one way to win. Time would not allow a long lob in the paint for a shot, so she went against the odds and had her shooter receive the ball at the foul line and step back to the 3 point line. A shooter who was not known for her 3 point shots at all. The change that Dawn made last second created confusion on Tennessee and they didn't react. We saw the heartbreaking ending. But if we go back to the foul shots that were missed by Tennessee prior to SC getting the ball, there were other mistakes by many that created the impossible scenario.
The double dribble by South Carolina coming up court with time running out - not called. Should have been Tennessee ball - game over. The fouling of the point guard as she took a desperation shot from almost half court. Yes, we had 2 fouls to give but the foul under the circumstances was unnecessary. Ball falls harmlessly short of the goal and time runs out - Tennessee wins. At this point Tennessee is still thinking they have the win with 1.1 second left and were confused by Dawn's setup. South Carolina has been good for a few years now for a reason. Dawn threw the dice and won. This was a learning lesson to never take anything for granted and Kelly has been knocking on the door to revive Lady Vols tradition for awhile, I believe she will succeed.

I'm mostly on the football board but do try to catch basketball games on tv when I'm able. I bleed orange like most on here and hope to see the Vols competing for championships in all sports. Flame away if you like, but Danny White has got us very much closer than we were not very long ago. Go Vols!
