She managed to recruit the portal and high school good enough to reach the Sweet-16 both last year and this year. After last year she lost 4 of her 5 starters. Again recruiting high school and bring in 1 portal player she beat Ohio State in the second round of this year's NCAA Tournament.

In essence, recruiting is what it is all about. There is no excuse for not being able to recruit both high school and the portal. No matter if it is NIL or the lack of the ability to recruit both high school and/or the portal. To be successful, long term, you need to recruit both.

Kara is one of those throwing Tennessee under the bus to recruits. That's a fact, not a secret in the athletic department, and not the behavior you would expect from a LVFL. I never want a traitor as coach of the Lady Vols.

Oh, really? A fact you say.

Exactly, what is throwing Tennessee "under the bus?" Telling a recruit that she should come to Duke instead of Tennessee, or any other school. How dare the head coach of Duke recruit for her program instead of Tennessee's.

Unforgivable treachery!!!!!!

We are heading into 16 years of not being "Tennessee." You and others may have been the holding the "high standard" all this time but shockingly it seems that internet posts don't effect reality.

The LVs are who they are and have been for 16 years.

SC still made it to the final four last season and were defending champions and currently they are undefeated and the prohibitive favorite to win it all (also working toward a 4th straight final four)

They too are who they are and have been for the last decade.

Coming as close as you can to beating SC suggest that this version of the LVs has the potential to be more than they have been.

If the LVs lose tomorrow, you get the gloating rights but I am really hoping for the LVs to make some major noise in this tournament. I guess that makes me a "bad fan" right?

I agree with mostly everything u said, but if we lose I won’t be gloating, I might go missing again for weeks just like I did when we loss that last game to Sc. I’ve said since the FSU loss I don’t have expectations but losing will still hurt,

She said very negative things about the Tennessee program to recruits - to the point that it was considered below the belt "dirty recruiting" within the AD. She also said some things when Kellie was offered the job and not her, and she burned her bridges at UT.

I don't care if you want to make a sarcastic comment about "unforgivable treachery". Perhaps you don't value loyalty in the same way I do. BTW: she totally turned off the recruit when she did that, so I guess I am not the only one who thinks you can recruit fairly and without trashing other programs.

Let's just say I know. It's time for the Big Boosters to step up or quit complaining about not getting HS recruits. You can't recruit elite players with your hands tied. You can believe what you want, IDC. It is what it is.

As a general rule, it is best to be skeptical toward internet hearsay. Everything you claim seems antithetical to Kara's character and so, lacking any proof, these claims are doing exactly what you accuse Kara of doing.

I think it is unfortunate you are propagating this claim on this board, No sarcasm, here.

Pretty incredible how TN fans turn on a true LVFL. Better bring some facts (and evidence) for this argument. Her saying “they haven’t been to a final 4 in 14 years, come play here and help us build Duke’s program” is not throwing TN under a bus - it’s called “recruiting.” She owns her truth and speaks its. Refreshing actually.

Umm what do people think practice and film are at any program. What she’s saying isn’t special. Actually knowing how to guide your team and fix issues IS special
