I don't have any dirt, Chuckie, and the one thing I've always been terrible at is timing.

As for any SEC-NCAA shenanigans, isn't Danny a lawyer and wasn't Mike White's big thing professionalizing athletic departments as a way to protect them from exploitation/tampering? There's a lotta lawyer hate, but's it's always check-checkmate game, a single person can't rig it.

Kara and Kellie are in similar positions. Both were taking new jobs during covid. That situation is very different from an established coach who has his/her recruiting connections in place. Kellie inherited a program in a more dismal state but she had more coaching experience.

Kellie has had higher conference finishes and 2 S16 to Kara's one (this season).

One could make a case that both have done pretty well under the circumstances. Duke does seem to be trending better but, we won't know for sure, until the transfer portal dust has settled.

I'm very confused as to why you think Kellie inherited a more dismal program. Are you just looking at wins/losses? Duke was a dumpster fire in the worst way when Lawson was hired.

The previous coach decimated the program by lashing our at her players publicly and more so privately, then she left at the end of June, and only brought in one recruit for 2020, so her successor would struggle. Donor relationships had been destroyed and the budget completely neglected. Every system from performance to daily operations had to be revamped to meet basic operating standards. I don't recall Holly intentionally sabotaging UT's program to that extent.

And we would have to spend the bank upwards of 2mil a year if KB is getting 1.8ish a year at UK.

Unless DW is willing to punt next season , he needs a coach who will bring good players from her or his former program or who can be a transfer magnet like Mulkey. Not many of the former are likely movable. I wonder if the KY move forced his hand.
