Some people just say anything, we need a better roster and that’s it, some think that they don’t want to hurt a players feelings by bringing in better players to take their spot. I believe in everything is earned and not given.

Not gonna lie, I remember you stating we needed another post and a taller PG only to have people shut you down and say our roster was enough for the year.

Some posters are just talking at this point. Tennessee does not need an overhaul of the roster. That is just a way to discredit players because they do not look or player a style some people have stuck in their mind. Tennessee can win with Tamari Key, Destinee Wells, Sara Puckett, and Karoline Striplin even Tess Darby playing their role. That’s a fact. Now with Kaniya Boyd and Talaysia Cooper both of them will bring elite athleticism to pair with Jewel Spear in the guard positions. Kaiya Wynn role needs to be defined. She is not a PG. Jillian Hollingshead role needs to be defined. I see the staff adding three more players. Need to be the right fit. I prefer every signee to be a two way player. No more specialists or players that are not committed to playing defense. Tennessee had enough offense this year without Rickea Jackson beating Oklahoma. It is just ridiculous to act like the roster is starting from scratch.

Only playing one side. I hope to see Kellie on the LV sideline next season but I can also acknowledge her position is dicey. I don't win any prizes regardless of the outcome. I am surprised you did not lecture me about my Howard Finster avatar again....

Thank you for remembering, but I take my feelings out of it and look at what the team truly needs, I knew those would be issues this year and I was right but I wish I was wrong. Now we need a lot more through the portal, I hope we get it this time around.

Only on the integrity topics. I don’t believe being fickle on a mediocre coaches future applies.

But can he recruit down south ? Some of these great coaches are only great because of the landscape of where they recruit? I don’t see him out recruiting a mulkey, Dawn , Vic or Wes Moore down here he’ll add coach yo as well .

Fact is with Jewel Spear returning Tennessee heading into the off-season has its best returning core in the last three seasons.
Tamari Key’s decision is still pending.
In 2022, they loss Rae Burrell, Alexus Dye, and Keyen Green. In 2023, they loss Jordan Horston and Jordan Walker. In 2024, they are losing Rickea Jackson and Jasmine Powell.
Tennessee by any stretch of the imagination does not need an overhaul of the roster. Three players maybe four depending on position and projection for 2025. Focus on defense, wing/post versatility, and rebounding. Kaniya Boyd and Talaysia Cooper give Tennessee a duo to solidify a potent backcourt with Jewel and Kaiya while Destinee Wells rehabs.

I think he would do a good job here, could hire assistant with ties to the south or could keep Samantha Williams
