He used his celebrity status to recruit DI kids to DII (he had a 5* kid at broke FCS school)and they pretty much just out talented everyone. Now, everyone is DI kids. That talent gap just went bye bye for good. His lack of coaching ability is going to shine bright fast. Gone by year two unless his ego gets him axed first when things go horribly bad from the start.
I agree. He will be one of those coaches that won't get out of his own way. He'll be the smug coach who talks in the third person and acting like he's the smartest person in the room at press conference after the losing begins. He'll throw the players under the bus first thing, just watch.Coach "Prime" is now and has always been about one thing..

I think he will be the Penny Hardaway of college football. Yes, he will get some good 4 and 5 star players who would have never considered Colorado before ... but he won't win many games, and there will be a revolving door of constant attrition on both the roster and the coaching staff.I would agree with all the nay-sayers except for the Portal.
The Portal in todays Sportz World is a God Send for a Prime.......He WILL get the players. He WILL get the money for himself and program. And yes, time will tell if he can Coach.
Beautiful town. Agree to disagree here. That said it’s no football powerhouse and never will be.I think he will get a reality dose of just how hard it is to recruit there. Have y'all ever been to Boulder? It absolutely sucks.
The wife and I did a week long trip driving through CO, we spent the first night in Boulder... that was too many nights.
Takes more than kids loving you, but I tend to agree. He seems willing to hire the best men for the job when assembling a staff. Have to put aside ego for that, imo. Also takes being willing to delegate and get out of the way, which remains to be seen it get can do that, but he seems to be the type that can.I think he’s going to do great there. The kids love him
