Overpaying him would be ~$4 million/year. He's a coordinator making $1.6 million, with zero HC experience, who has only been solo play-calling for a single season.

I think we have had so many incompetent, completely disastrous coaching searches over the years, that we don’t know what a normal, professionally run search looks like, so we are adding conspiracy and mystery to this one.

I think he really wants to be in the NFL, I think at one time that was his main focus. If he leaves for another college job it has always been said it would be for USC but in this day and time who knows.

Nope, Stoops won’t coach against his brother, at least that is what has been stated in several other threads when his name comes up. Besides he’s been gone for 5 years, he’s not worth that much.

It’s 40 spread out over 7 years or roughly 6m. He updated the years. Yes, I want him to be right about the offer because it means we swung for the fences and hit a home run. He also stated if the 1st option declines the 2nd option will be finalized by noon est. and we will have a HC announced tomorrow. I certainly hope this is true and Stoerner had been 100% right the last few weeks. The noon tomorrow post is not vague at all. Have you read his posts in the last hour or two.

I agree totally. I live in Nashville and saw and heard it every day. He also has this little act he puts on that I always thought was way to sneaky and was not very sincere..... ever. Really big on Crocodile Tears. Trust me I am in no way advocating him for a coach or anything else for that matter.
