Colin Kaepernick sits during national anthem

I'm calling bs, I am struggling to believe his ignorant ass has seen the inside of a college classroom.

I wasn't questioning his intelligence at all. It was a legit question. I think d4h is very bright, but there are many people who are intelligent yet misguided. I really hate that he feels the way he does about our country and his overall mindset because it's misguided. The fact that Kaepernick is now his favorite is a ****ing joke because he is taking a position for minorities.

You wish.

Hahhahaa you edited it. So the black community isn't fully behind Kaepernick anymore? So you can edit, but not answer any real questions when you get called out? There's no doubt you've read this entire thread, why not respond ?I'm sure you're thinking another racist white guy is giving me a hard time, which couldn't be further from the truth.
I'm very interested.

What should have Obama done to make life better for all African Americans during his presidency?

Did you go to Duke University as a student?

Actually it is comparable.

When Ali argued against the Vietnam War because be didn't want to spread white supremacy to another brown nation, white people demonized him.

Just like white people are now demonizing Kaepernick because he doesn't want to salute a symbol of white supremacy.

The only difference is the magnitude of athlete. The political stance is actually the same. Refusing to fight for or give respect to a nation that represents white supremacy and the subjugation of black people.

Actually, it was a nation that wasn't "brown" for good measure. But don't let facts get in the way of you ****ing up a history lesson once again.

Still waiting...

BTW Kaepernick the 'change' was supposed to start in 2009

This young black generation should have lived during segregation, then they would know what oppression truly was. We are far from a perfect nation, but the biggest cause of racial tension in America isn't the white population, it's the black population itself. Everyone has chances to better themselves. Some refuse to put in the work and instead claim they're being held back. The only ones holding them back are themselves.

The only thing keeping him on the roster is the 12M the organization has to pay him if he's cut or traded.... So oppressed

Kaepernicks $12,000,000 NFL QB struggle. :ermm:

I think the BLM just found a unwitting poster child. I don't believe old Colin has a clue what sacrifice really is. Pat Tillman took dumps with more character that this bozo will ever muster.

You mean kind of like the poster child hunger strike guy from the BLM Mizzou movement that had a father that was extremely well off?

isn't this the same guy that got fined for using a racial slur last year? Pretty sure I remember that.. it was like week 1 or 2...

edit: it was two years ago. having a newborn (2015) kills memory.

Every conservative is all for personal freedom and constitutional rights until someone does something they disagree with.

he has that right to be an A-hole, just like we have that right to bash him for it. it is you liberals who would audit him, get him kicked off the team and fined for doing something that goes against your liberal philosophy.

Well, at least that guy did something that was physically inconvenient. Colin isn't giving up anything but his likability and he's not smart enough to know how important that is as a professional athlete.

RIP endorsement deals.

He can do whatever he wants as long as it's legal. He can't then whine that his memorabilia isn't selling. Or should those conservatives continue to buy his jersey even though he sucks and they don't agree with his political statement? I guess that's 'racist'.

There isn't anything you just said that is remotely at odds the K-town post you quoted.

So bc institutional racism isn't as bad as it used to be, and because the black community is its own worst enemy, he should have no complaints?

The white community is its own worst enemy too, and Trump is rallying dip****s left and right playing on their victimhood...blacks actually have something to complain about...whites have had all the power for 200+ years and they whine as much, if not more than blacks.

I know that. That is the point. If Kaepernick wants to be a dumbass, that's his prerogative. Can't blame whitey for not buying his garbage though. I do think burning his jerseys was stupid. He already got the money. You are just destroying your own property at that point. It would have made a better statement to change the name on the back to 'racist' or 'dumbass' or something.

There are people who protest by calling out names, hitting other people, and other violent actions, which then leads to a lost cause as the reason for the protest is lost. What Kaepernick did was a peaceful protest. I don't think he wanted to show disrespect to military who keep all of us safe no matter what color.
This is pretty obvious he holds this issue close to his heart. I can't relate to him directly because I have not been in the same situation as some of our fellow black citizens have. He did it for the last two games also but no-one noticed. This time around people did, and he had his answer ready. The people showing outrage to his actions are also right on their part. As all of us love our country, and the freedom that we enjoy because of the people who serve.
I am all for any protest that doesn't lead to physically or mentally hurting people. I can disagree with it which leads to a discussion.
