What are the white people doing? Unless you mean people griping on a message board... When do we stop being black Americans and White Americans and just start being Americans. I would like to hear from black volnation members on here how they are being oppressed? I'm not talking about what they watch on tv, or hear from other black people but what has happened to them directly in the last fifteen years or so.

Everyone has complaints. It's not limited to just blacks. But what exactly does the black community have to complain about in today's world? This isn't 1963, this is 2016.

And this whites have had all the power for 200+ years argument, I know you've studied history so it should be self-explanatory. And as it pertains to today's world, how much of the population is white, and how much is black? Sheer numbers explain it.

And we haven't even begun to talk about the advantages given to minorities. Should we start with the outdated affirmative action?

Do you know what a Trump rally consists of? He is winning hearts and minds blaming problems on immigrants and talking about making America great again, as if it's not great now (something Kaepernick seems to be saying) and as if it were great in a time before mass latino immigration and maybe even civil rights.

It's 2 sides of the same damn coin.

You are confusing campaign slogans with actual real life... Hope and change/ make America great again... They are campaign slogans.... There are issues in this country that need to be addressed.... Illegal immigration is one of them.

Bro, literally everybody agrees illegal immigration needs reform....he's not simply talking about reform, he's rallying people by saying "send everybody back because they are rapists, criminals, etc." and also they have ruined our economy, or been a tax burden (both completely unproven complaints), etc.

Minority activists tend to complain about the law and over-enforcement. White activists tend to complain about the law and lack of enforcement. Two "whiney" groups talking about two sides of the same coin.

What? A politician over exaggerating his position on a subject.... This is earth shattering type of news.....who are these white activists that you are talking about? I don't think a presidential candidate really fits that criteria.

I have no problem with activists and trying to institute changes to make America a better place. I also have no issues making fun of the ones( white and black that are so sensitive and have a warped view on the way things are today)

On the second point, what do you want trumps slogan to be America is awesome, great job Obama.....it's a campaign slogan that is catchy and implies his predecessor did a bad job and he is the man to fix it.... There have been several similar slogans throughout history... It's really not a big deal.

I don't care what his slogan is. For the last time, I'm saying the implication of his slogan is that he is in agreement with CK in the sense that he thinks America isn't (that) great right now.

To clarify, I show respect for the flag and I think CK should too. I am pointing out the hypocrisy of people in here that are saying things like "leave if you don't like it" and they are acting like everything is good here, while at the same time many of them don't actually believe America is great, rn.
