We’re getting to a point now where if you stand for the National Anthem you’re going to be considered racist by a good amount of Verified people and Kap is going to look like a genius. Only in America can this happen and people still love to hate it. What a time be alive.
I’m with the President, I won’t be watching eitherGood news! NFL Players can make Trump leave games by kneeling. What a wussy.
President Donald Trump says he won't watch NFL, U.S. national soccer team if there's kneeling during anthem
President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday to once again criticize the idea of kneeling during the national anthem.
In a series of tweets and retweets, Trump implied he would not be watching United States national soccer team games or NFL games if there's kneeling during the anthem.
Quote tweeting a story reporting Rep. Matt Gaetz's thoughts on U.S. Soccer's recent repeal of a rule that required national team players to stand for the anthem, Trump wrote, "I won’t be watching much anymore!"
He followed that up with a quote tweet of Rep. Jim Jordan on a similar story, adding: "And it looks like the NFL is heading in that direction also, but not with me watching!"
Yeah in retrospect I’m sure we would go back and fix a lot of things. I wish we could and I think a lot of people are trying to do that in different ways right now. I was more or less making a point that we’re moving to an area where when standing, removing your cap and hand across chest will be viewed as a negative and an indicator of where you stand on race relations. Unfortunately I think this will also be used as a tactic to show where you are with Trump or left or right. And I definitely think he can shoulder some blame on that as well. I don’t think where this is headed is healthy at all. It's almost like maybe we should have listened decades ago, fixed the criminal justice system, and avoided all of this.

that would be a small, fringe element but it will still stoke your false narrativeWe’re getting to a point now where if you stand for the National Anthem you’re going to be considered racist by a good amount of Verified people and Kap is going to look like a genius. Yep thats coming soon. They've already made any pride felt by White people out to be about racism. We’re getting to a point now where if you stand for the National Anthem you’re going to be considered racist by a good amount of Verified people and Kap is going to look like a genius. I know trumps is probably for show but I would respect people a lot more if they would stand behind what they say instead of the sniffling apologies like drew brees.Good news! NFL Players can make Trump leave games by kneeling. What a wussy.

I’m not going to sit here and say that at every ball game that I’ve ever been to that I am hurrying up to make sure I’m at my seat for the National Anthem or even if I’m even in the stadium I stop what I’m doing. I will say that at times it is more symbolic and carries more meaning with it than at other times, such as Whitney Houston’s rendition in ‘91 or the World Series post 9/11 at Yankee Stadium. Those are times where I think where we’ve all come together collectively for a common good. You could very well be right. I don’t ultimately care about patriotic gestures that much, so I’m fine with it, but I know many feel differently
Good Morning Football just spent almost the entire first segment discussing this topic. It also included the coaches kneeling too. I guess I wasn’t too far off base.I’m not sure that it will be. It’s not a narrative I’m trying to push, but I don’t think it’s too far fetched to think it will turn into a “so and so didn’t kneel, so they are part of the problem now.”
