Colin Kaepernick sits during national anthem

For a fact? No I do not. But you don't know that it was, either. I find it perfectly reasonable that teams did not want the baggage that came with the player. He was not some outstanding talent that made it worth it.

It's reasonable, OK, but you can't declare that there was no collusion just because it's a reasonable idea. It seems impossible that there wasn't at least some discouragement, even if it wasn't from the top down, it could have just been among some owners.

There are 32 teams in the NFL. Theoretically, your top 32 QBs are all starters(but it doesn't really work that way). I wouldn't put Kap in the top 30. Probably the top 60, but not the top 30. His starting days were behind him, but he was/is probably a capable back up.

You guys just shoot from the hip and it seems like you have no idea what you're talking about with the NFL. He was 22nd in the league in QBR in 2016. Where are you getting that he's "probably top 60". QBR is derived from analysts watching every snap and grading what he did on each play.

Seems completely possible to me. NFL owners are not some noble bunch. They're motivated by winning and profits. None of them want headache players on their team. But if they're going to sign a headache player, he better have phenomenal talent to make him worth it. CK was not a phenomenal talent.

CK needed a system tailored to him, otherwise he was not effective. He was not a dynamic player that teams were just going to overhaul their system to suit him. It's not "shooting from the hip". It's having a basic understanding of how the NFL works.

No it's not.

Gundy did nothing to bring attention to himself or a political cause.
Of course he did. He wore what is obviously an offensive shirt and posted pictures of himself wearing it.
He must have done something wrong; he offered a public apology.

Now you're getting real crazy. He went to the SB in Roman's system. At his worst, he was 22nd in QBR in Kelly's system. These were variations of the read/option spread offense, which is very common in the league now. Many teams could grab him and plug him in without changing anything.

Colin is 32 years old, 10 years from his best season and a 60% passer.IF he was willing to accept $2M per year as a backup QB he'd have already been on a roster despite his cancer risk in the locker room, but he is delusional to think that he deserves starting QB pay.... he wasn't a starting QB when he started his protest.
And I find it amusing that most of the players supporting his return are defensive players......wonder if they are hoping to pad their stats.

You're putting too much emphasis on QBR. What was his w/l record in his final year?

For the record.
I thought the reactions to Kap were ridiculous and childish overreactions.

Here are the 2019 teams that could've grabbed Kap and not changed anything about their offense, if they had to hand it over to him.

Cowboys
Eagles
Ravens
Bills
Cardinals
Panthers

And that's not counting teams that might've had to modify just a little bit (like the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Browns).
