The free hand outs are oppressive..wait, the preferential treatment getting accepted to certain college just because of being black when others would get the spots had race not been known...no wait, the selection for jobs and work contracts because your black, disadvantages business owner, no wait.If he said something like this while having multiple organizations to help the black community with outreach, he might have a better reception than pouting on the sideline and refusing to do something not related to a current day oppression. I'd like to hear what specifically is oppressive today. Not 70 years ago, not 300. Today.

I can't think of anything oppressive, all I can think of is preferential treatment and favoritism because of being black. Matter of fact, it sounds like the whites are being oppressed in this country. If the white had white lives matter or had our own chamber of Commerce or our own organizations and clubs and didn't allow blacks in....just think of the outrage. To me, it sounds like the blacks are the racists, and the oppressors. Had it been a white man sitting during the anthem and making these comments, he would have been suspended from team activities and the public outcry over this would have been huge, it would cost him millions and probably his career. I have no respect for anyone, regardless of color, that won't stand and honor ALL Americans during national anthom.

He won't have the chance, because even before this stuff he was more than likely going to sit the bench. I find it odd his timing and think it's possible that he is trying to make it difficult for SF to cut him because of this.
Soon. He's using his position to draw attention to the problem. People are talking about the problem as well as his actions. I find it somewhat odd that people who claim to support an individual's right get so angry about this particular expression.
At the end of the day he refused to stand for a song. He didn't express support for cop killers.
Every conservative is all for personal freedom and constitutional rights until someone does something they disagree with.

At this point, I don't know if D4H is delusional or a troll.
Asian Americans were in this country being treated like #(*&@ like the Poles, Irish and Italians before the Civil War was even fought.
This nation has it's bad side. Nobody will argue against that. Some of that is still resident to this day. I don't think any reasonable person will argue that.
However, what this nation has shown is if you keep your head down and work hard, you can succeed. The wall keeping blacks, Irish, Polish, Italians, Asians, Jews et al down has been somewhat if not mostly erased.
If you want to feel butthurt, be an Asian that isn't accepted to an elite institution because your brand of brown is statistically over-represented and a different brown person that is under-represented is allowed in over you. Instead of an Asian getting a finance or engineering degree, you now have someone else getting a Fine Arts degree. Then liberals complain about hispanics and blacks being under-represented in engineering and tech. Blame white america when they overlook a worthless degree and won't hire you. Complain more when the Asian with the Mechanical Engineering degree is making $90,000/year and a liberal arts degree nets $30,000/year. Complain about oppression for a choice that was freely made.
You know what it boils down to more often than not? A lack of personal accountability and responsibility. One of the best guys I served with was from southeast DC. He chose to take his life into his own hands and joined the Marines. He was in Motor T (no slight to them, but not the highest standards) and got out after 12 years at 30 years old. He put himself through college (for free, using evil majority white taxpayer money) and now owns his own auto repair garage in Northern Virginia (AFAIK).
Where is the oppession there? He is from a broken home and one of the worst areas in the country. He CHOSE to not be a victim and he CHOSE to make himself better.
Again, for the reading impaired. There are problems in this country. If Kaep actually gave half a crap he'd donate 90% of his ridiculous salary to helping rebuild uninsured black-owned areas devastated by BLM riots or the countless numbers of uninsured in Baton Rouge. But, he won't. Because he's selfish. Just like most champagne idiots in this country, they're all talk but no actual substance.
I'm sure when he's 45 and broke, he'll blame whites for stealing it all.

So stop crying then. If you supported his right to feel and act as he sees fit you would not be insulting him and calling him names like a little kid. Someone does something you don't like and you curse and name call. Grow up.
