Colin Kaepernick sits during national anthem

Unfortunately there is somewhat of a myth here. There are many successful Asian Americans but there is also a huge number living in poverty.

Yes, it's true that many recent immigrants from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia are still struggling. I have no illusions that life has been easy for them here.

Deflection.

Making a statement like this is a decent way to exact change...after all, we are talking about this issue and nobody would be having this conversation if he fell in line and quietly made a donation to the ACLU

We have this conversation constantly Nancy.

You were doing so well until this. If black people help themselves with good decisions and personal responsibility resulting in success they're disowned by other black people for being Uncle Toms and such. By not accepting responsibility for their own lives they're holding themselves and others in the community back.

If it helps you understand my position better, I lump you in the same group as Dobbs4Heisman. Two peas in a bi-racial pod.

ah. Black privilege at work. Blame problems on oppression or racism even though is inconsequential to the real cause of the issue and without any substantial reasoning or facts. This country has become a piece of work.

I hoping my white privilege kicks in soon. I feel like I'm missing out on all the good deals white folks are supposed to get.

The answer to his protest is economic pressure. Don't go to their games.

Oh I know you do, you're not intelligent. I was helping you understand better. Instead you should just try and prove me wrong.

The biggest problem the "black community" faces is the black community. What do they do to help themselves? Nothing.

Tums, I hate to break this to you, but you're being a racist again.

I care for neither your absolutist narrative on race nor for Dobbs4Heisman's.

The lady working at Hardee's this morning didn't make me pay for my breakfast. She looked around and didn't see any black folks and said "it's ok.... It's on the house"

Asian Americans benefit from the sacrifices made by black people during the civil rights movement.

If it wasn't for black people they wouldn't even be in this country.

Lol.... Where exactly did you come up with this BS?
I think you should ask Huff if he has any history books he can loan you. He's into economics, but I'm not sure about history. You should ask him anyway.

White supremacy. Systemically made things worse.

You're straight out of the black power, racist talking points. Lol

Why can't "black people" take responsibility for their lives and make good choices, thus bettering themselves like every other race has to do?

You're right about one thing though, race relations are worse with Obama.

They can't make good choices because "the man"....AKA "whitey" is keeping them down..... Through oppression, repression, aggression and a few more "sions"

8 years as POTUS with a house and senate that won't work with you can't change hundreds of years of oppression. I swear I'm surprised some of you can breathe and type at the same time.

Ugh..... K.... Wtf are you talkin' about? I'd go back and check the make up of the house
and senate when the chosen one was elected
