College football playoff

None of this has anything to do with the fact that an undefeated SEC not getting to play for a title is 100% proof that the system is flawed.
Boo Hoo. The poor, poor SEC. It's like the Civil War again. They're all picking on us. Auburn knew the system. They chose to play The Citadel. That means a) They didn't think they would be in championship contention for it to matter, or b) They're too stupid to understand the system. Either way, they can burn in Hell. Maybe the SEC should secede from the rest of college football. That worked so well before.

Yep, weeded out. USF 1 loss team is done. LSU 1 loss team is in the title game.

LSU isn't guaranteed to finish with one loss. South Florida had the ultimate prize within their grasp. Currently, the Bulls are letting Rutgers take it from them. LSU plays Auburn next week. We'll get to see how good the Bulls really were in that victory.

Since you have no point, you choose to get silly. Again, what is the record of the SEC in BCS title games? Yea, playing the Citadel is a certain disqualifier of ever getting a title shot. Who were UF's OOC opponents last year? Come on Hatlock, bring up some more of that emotional drivel.

Seems to me that a lot of teams are getting weeded out nicely. Next up is Boston College.
Don't tell Hat. According to him a bunch of 1 or 2 loss teams in a playoff system would be a joke. The way the flys are falling, there most likely will be a 2 loss team in the BCS title game.

Where did I say LSU would end up with 1 loss. I stated a 1 loss USF team will not get in a title game, a 1 loss LSU team would. Please read more carefully.

It's a little early for that.

I can read fine. You're complaining about something that hasn't happened yet. Sometimes you remind me of the guy in your avatar.

You know, I'm done debating this issue. You people are still going to be crying for a playoff when you're in the nursing home, and I'll still be laughing at you. One point=Florida State=Not in the Southern Conference. Just because the AD at Auburn is too much of a retarded hick to understand the system, not my problem. Now, go rail against the wind while the BCS chiefs get ready to sign another 10 year deal.

Somebody mark this post for posterity.

A 1 loss LSU team would be in the title game, a 1 loss USF would not. You disagree with this?

Gee. Perhaps you should type more carefully. There's a possibility USF gets left out with 1 loss. The same goes for LSU and USC. There's a possibility they get in. I don't see why I get insulted for predicting what will happen, but it's cool when you do it. You and hman can finish this discussion. You may as well argue about the changing the sky because you dislike the color blue.

In other words, my USC throttled Auburn last year/Auburn shouldn't have scheduled Citadel bag didn't hold water so I am out of ammo. Bye.

I didn't say "possibility". I said a 1 loss LSU team is in the title game. You can either agree or disagree, simple.

No, I've got better things to do than debate the football equivalent of the flat tax. All you folks with tin foil hats can continue to rail about hypothetical playoffs. I'll choose to live in the real world.

There's a simple answer to their complaint: Don't play The Citadel. Next.

That's just one game. And, at the time, it was said that Auburn didn't get picked because of their OOC schedule. But, if you look it up, you will see that if you consider all 12 games, Auburn played more ranked teams than OU and USC. Furthermore, the reason OU's OOC SOS was higher than Auburn's was because they played Bowling Green State University, who ended up having a good year. Wow. BGSU. A team that had no chance at a road win against any of those teams that year. And, BGSU was supposed to play Auburn, but somebody had a conflict, and BGSU ended up playing OU instead. I am not sure what the problem was, but it wasn't Auburn. My buddy did BGSU's video in 2004, and they thought it was pretty funny that their schedule change is what kept the Tigers out of the title game. So, there you go. What a system! OU gets in over AU because a team from the MAC switched opponents.

I thought you said bye to this thread. You are as consistent as the BCS.

I'm sorta partial to an orange sunset personally.

I'm not so sure. They'd lose regularly to Oregon, Cal, and USC. A lot of other teams would beat them here and there, as well.

They would join for the money and exposure. Any school with any sense would hop to a more recognized conference.
