Like Petrino and Hugh Freeze, give Beard a few years to lay low and someone will hire him because he "deserves a second chance." He can coach basketball and people tend to have short memories if he can win games.

Cheating/sexual behavior with consenting people is a lot different than physical violence against a woman, that includes biting and hitting and strangling. I doubt he ever coaches again if the allegations are true.

I agree they are different. But I still bet we see him resurface at some point especially when the charges get pled down to a misdemeanor when the fiancé doesn’t cooperate.

Does Alabama have the worst defense of all time? Giving up damn near 80 to a very meh Memphis team who have made ZERO threes. I know there’s been a lot of pace in this game but sheesh.

Memphis’ defense has been worse. Luckily for Alabama they injured like all of Memphis’ important players (I feel bad for Memphis even though I don’t feel bad for Penny)

Memphis has definitely made some tough shots in the paint, but both teams are giving up tons of great looks.

Alabama has had a pretty impressive start to the year considering how many freshmen they are playing. Definitely not a team I am looking forward to facing in conference.

Especially given that we have had such a hard time beating Alabama in the past couple of years when it seemed we definitely had the better team. Alabama and Arkansas are two teams I don't look forward to playing. Kentucky, I think we will split with again going 1-1 with each team winning at home. Of course, I would love to beat them in Rupp again this year.

The latest report said Beard told police he has audio of at least some of the "altercation". Then the police asked if they could have it/hear it, and he said "No".

Now agian, not a lawyer and there probably are good, intelligent, legal reasons for him to refuse (or wait for his lawyers to handle it) and if I found myself in a similar situation I would do whatever my highly paid lawyer told me to do. But from a public perspective that's a terrible look.

Even if she proves to be the instigator as he claimed choking her out is probably not a smart move
