The cavernous size of TBA and Rupp are to their detriments when it comes to noise. I was at the 2019 UT-UK game at Rupp when they ended our run at #1 and as loud as it was it was nothing like a midweek game of AU-UF I went to the same season. It’s not necessarily the fans but the design and the design was intentional.Auburn’s arena has hit 109 decibels today. It’s 1/3 the size of TBA.
And this is after they’ve lost 4 out of 5 games.
Auburn has by far the best basketball fanbase in the conference right now
Yeah, I think some of these no calls on Bama here towards the end have been a bit odd, but I think refs hate Bruce (which is understandable)Alabama really has no business winning this game considering how poorly they’ve played. But, it looks like they might escape yet again. Sign of a very good team sadly.
As bad as they’ve played? They shot damn near 60% from the field. Just poorly by their standards from 3. 23-28 from 2. We miss 5 bunnies a game they missed 5 shots total.Alabama really has no business winning this game considering how poorly they’ve played. But, it looks like they might escape yet again. I can assure you that Alabama winning this game does not help us in anyway. It doesn’t help us win the regular season. It doesn’t help our seeding. It doesn’t make our game on Wednesday any bigger or smaller. So, go Tigers. We need them to win.
I had not seen that article. Good stuff. Dispels the notion that the fans are the number one reason for all the noise. Sounds like the architecture is the biggest determining factor in their volume. The cavernous size of TBA and Rupp are to their detriments when it comes to noise.
