College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I didn’t see where he said TT was bad- just that they aren’t making the NCAAT. They aren’t even a bubble team.

But it also shows our fans that you can have “good” losses against teams that don’t make the NCAAT.
I certainly did not intend to imply that kckempf called them bad.
And it is absolutely fair to critic my use of the word 'bad' - it is why I put it in single quotes instead of double quotes.
2-10 sounds like a 'bad' record, but I thought it really needed context as TT is playing a lot of heavy weights in the Big 12.
Thanks for keeping me on my Ps and Qs.

To imply that Texas Tech is a 'bad' team would be a distortion on the facts.
They have single digit loses to 5 teams that are going to be seeded #1 to #5 as it currently stands. 9 of their 12 loses are to teams who will make the NCAAT
They are likely to miss the NCAAT, but they are a bubble team who could make some noise ... they just beat 3 seed Kansas State and 2 seed Texas at home ...
Just reading the NET rankings for them, they have a lot of ground to cover and not a lot of games left. Whether they are good may not factor into it.

Agreed ... their best chance to make the field at this late date is win the Big 12 tournament ... if they could win out (unlikely) ... the finals might be enough, but I doubt it. They need to climb 15 spots.

Auburn is in real danger of missing the tournament with a loss tonight.

they’ve slipped to “last four byes” in bracketology

This was the first time Michigan and Wisconsin played since Howard nearly started a brawl. Did he restrain himself in the handshake line this time?

Oklahoma defeats #12 Kansas State 79-65 man this season is crazy
It’s why I said the other day B12 is gonna beat each other up, making us a 2/3 very realistic still…you have Kansas, Texas, Baylor, Kansas State and Iowa State all on the 1-4 seed lines around us. In just the last 2 days Texas loses to unranked Texas Tech and Kansas State lost to unranked Oklahoma.
