Am I being naive when I say I genuinely dont feel like Tennessee fans would root for a player even HARDER after he was implicated in a thing like this? I truly believe we wouldnt for the most part. This isn't complicated, it’s so ridiculous acting like Oats' hands are tied bc no arrest. I've seen players get suspended for tweets
This is true but the inevitable “Us against the world ” narrative all the bammers will push is going to be nauseatingNormally I wouldn’t be that excited for March Madness when I have this much apathy about how Tennessee is playing right now. But, I gotta say, this March is going to be really fun because it’s not often the entire country has an actual villain to root against in the tournament. Everyone outside of Tuscaloosa is going to be cheering against the Tide to choke. Can’t wait.
If I'm SC coach I'd just come out and say something horrible about Miller and Alabama and Oats... At least the fanbase gets behind you in an otherwise abysmal season. They may actually just tank now after a heartbreak and we beat them by 30.
Tonight just reinforces that Brandon Miller is getting off the hook because of how good of a basketball player he is. Were he a role player, they would have hung him out to dry. As it is, he’s given them 41 points tonight and they have needed every single one of those points.
Greenberg's commentary is gross there. He spends the entire game absolutely drooling over Miller, but accuses college kids of violating Ms. Harris' memory for fighting in the stands? Get lost dude
That was my impression as well. Im sure him and Oats are buddy buddy. Oh but he made sure to mention GG Jackson's attitude problemI didn’t watch the whole game, but from what I did watch, it seemed like Greenberg wasn’t about to comment on anything going on off the court as it relates to Miller. Anytime the lead announcer brought it up, Greenberg couldn’t change the subject fast enough.
For real. For all the evil Nick Saban has brought upon this good and blessed Earth, I think his iron fist handling of Alabama's football team has lulled us all into forgetfulness with respect to just how messed up and psychotic your typical Dollar General steak munchin' Michelob Ultra guzzlin' Bammer can be. They're out of the wordwork today and tonight praising the coach and the team, saying "the police didn't charge them, his lawyer released a statement, he's completely innocent, Alabama did everything right." Cheering them on like gangland shootouts are part and parcel of the Tuscaloosa nightlife. The sort of ugly display that makes you feel sorry for every misbegotten child that arrives on this earth an inheritor of their astoundingly digusting genetic issuance.
I just heard the line on ESPN by one of the guys in the post game show that echoes my opinion on this 100 percent. "Coaches and players should be held to a higher standard... " There's this little thing called life that is a bit more serious than coaching a game or shooting a basketball. That hasn't been in this whole situation regarding Alabama.
