longtime yc fanI'm watching Yuri Collins and St. Louis for the first time. Collins has 3 points on 2 shots and 7 assists with two minutes left in the first half. Yeah, Collins would have been a nice fit for this UT team, especially now that ZZZ is out.
Edit: 5 points on 3 shots and 8 assists at the half. 4 turnovers, tho
IMO, Purdue and Houston are the weakest 1-seeds. They could both make the Final Four, but I’m expecting at least one of them to get bounced in the Sweet 16, maybe both.
I don't think its disrespecting the game. I think NC recognizes an NIT win means nothing to them. Let another team play that wants to be there. Anyone really care who is #65? Anyone know who won it last year without looking it up?UNC is refusing to accept an NIT bid. Jack wagons. Michigan. Florida. Vandy. OK State. Oregon. Colorado. Washington State. Va Tech. Clemson. Nova. Wisconsin. Cincy. Rutgers. Seton Hall. They are disappointed as well. But they aren’t disrespecting the game.
I think Xavier beat Texas AM to win it last year. But I was not watchingI don't think its disrespecting the game. I think NC recognizes an NIT win means nothing to them. The winner isn’t #65. The NCAAT is loaded with teams that couldn’t beat most of those that I listed.
Why even have the NIT if it’s meaningless?
That field has several former national champions and Final Four teams.
