College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Man, parity in college basketball is just crazy these days. Just looked at some scores of Friday night games and Long Beach State is pushing Michigan in the 2nd half to the brink, Robert Morris is giving Wisconsin all they want, Central Arkansas and Vandy are in a one possession game, and UNC Greenseboro up on Arkansas about halfway through the first half.

Yep that's them....what about the guy that started out at B.C. years ago then went to Fresno State...was a druggie...his son still play at B.C..

Chris Herren? He was there when I was, he went to high school with my girlfriend (at the time)
Herron could ball, that 30/30 or something similar was awesome on that druggie (damn, you are ruthless). He was mostly on the opiate pills, Roxy's and Oxy's and he talks about waiting outside Boston Garden in his warm-ups for his dealer, so he could bang a pill before a NBA game. Crazy, but I have slipped before on the same thing, so it hit kinda close to home and I really enjoyed it. At the end of the documentary, he was in recovery and doing well. He was giving his testimony to a lot of other drug addicts and others in recovery. Seems like he got his sh!t together and I can appreciate that

That Florida/Florida St score made me do a double take.

Yeah, he definitely went through hell but emerged from it

I watched the 30/30 that's how I knew he was an addict....yea he overcame which was great.....druggie most likely wasn't the best word but back in those years that was the term ....

I was just messing with you. You can't hurt my feelings unless you are my 2nd ex-wife and she's diabolically ruthless, to me

Wow it seems like Kentuckys best two players come off the bench in Sheppard and Dillingham. Wagner and Edwards haven’t super impressed me so far.

Oof. Dusty May and the extremely hyped up FAU Owls lose a game to Bryant, a team that lost by 16 to Boston University.

It’s especially crazy to me because FAU isn’t hyped up IMO. They are just straight up good. They blew out most of their schedule last year and then I saw them with my own two eyes in the tournament.

They then proceeded to bring basically their entire team back from last year.

It’s a shocking result. Kinda like Purdue losing to a 16 seed

I think they are a little overhyped. They are a good team who return a lot of players, but I think their pre-season Top 10 ranking was an overreaction to their tournament run just like North Carolina the year before them. If FAU has to face Purdue instead of FDU in the Round of 32, the entire conversation around then probably changes.

They aren’t Top 10 good imo

FAU was a flash in the pan ...they still will win their conference ..but a major player probably not....getting vibes of the Seth Curry Davidson squad who went to Elite 8 ...and the next season were so so...
