College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Ole Miss also beat Memphis for those saying Ole Miss is overrated. Though looking at Ole Miss schedule half their games have been within 1 or 2 possessions. Could easily be .500. Still glad UT plays them at home and not down there.

Kim English is making a strong case to be target #1 after Barnes retires.
He has Providence playing well this season. I didn’t realize Ticket Gaines had followed him to Providence from George Mason. Glad to see both having success there. Gaines has 15 points so far in tonight’s game, and they are about to beat Marquette.

Gaines shot 5 of 11 from 3, sure that's a career high with made 3's in a game for him. Congrats to Ticket!! Providence with a huge win.
He was my favorite guy that left as he always gave it his all. He was smart to leave when we started stacking 5* wing players as everyone needs playing time to develop. If he has another year, wonder if there would be mutual interest in his return?

Doubt Shaka would leave Marquette for anything less than a blue blood - or maybe a semi-blue blood like a Louisville or something similar.

It would have to be for the money.

Barnes will probably push for Desmond Oliver, Michael Schwartz, and Rob Lanier. Unless he knows that UT can hire somebody far more successful. And Justin Gainey if CRB sticks around about 5 or more years.

Shaka already failed to replace Barnes once - wouldn’t be too Smart to choose that route again.

He did win a Big12 tournament. The Big 12 has been a great conference of late.

Shaka is doing great at Marquette. But if Georgetown, Nova, and St John’s return to where they were during the 1980s Big East he wouldn’t be wise to stay at Marquette.

He’s a very good coach.
