College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Northwestern loses another game on the road in OT. Tough loss after that Purdue game.
Surprisingly Joe Lunardi came on during the Vandy/Missouri(why during a game against winless teams in conference) and said UT has the potential to be on the 1 seed line come morning, with a win over UK and a UNC loss to Duke.

Houston-Kansas is a good cautionary tale of how razor sharp you have to be from the jump when you’re playing on the road in a matchup of highly ranked teams. If you’re not on your game from the beginning, especially on the defensive end, don’t be surprised when the home crowd starts to practically will shots in. Can’t get blown out early in these types of games.

Man, I would love to know what the heck is going on in that locker room….

Me too. Hard to imagine just how far they've fallen since....last year I guess. I was talking to a Memphis fan yesterday (they had to score with 12 sec at home today to beat a horrible Wichita State today). He's beyond disgusted but as I shared with him most of those wins they had early were against teams like Arkansas, A&M, Vandy, and Missouri etc who have turned out to be bottom dwellers or are hugely disappointing and Hogs are the top of the list. Hard to know what erodes a team like that sometimes.
