Maybe their options were not as good as you’d expect for a Big East program, but I am certainly a bit surprised that they didn’t go try and snag an up and coming mid-major coach.

Tons of options out there this year, honestly. Holtzman feels underwhelming.

Unfortunately, when you go 8-24 overall for the season and 3-17 in conference play which is dead last in the ACC, the seat gets quite hot.
He definitely was liked by players, especially BHH but I don't think he created a great rebuilding culture at Louisville. Some of that requires holding his players to a standard and being more accountable on both ends of the floor.

Yes, but the athletic department’s reserves are held by the foundation, and there are individuals who serve on both boards.
