College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Just setting the record straight.
You’re FOS and just have an axe to grind IMO.

Kenny Payne was a known quantity. Same resume as Tommy Lloyd effectively. Longtime lead assistant for a top program. Lead recruiter for the greatest recruiting team of the modern era.

In the same state…and he was an alum.

To act as if Kenny Payne was hired only because he is Black is asinine.

I'm not going to get into the weeds, but I know a lot more about this situation than you think. Two points: one, you're putting words in my mouth because I never said "only because he is Black." Was it a factor? Absolutely. Was it the only factor? No. Two, asinine is the OP's suggestion that Louisville doesn't have resources to get a top-flight coach.

We're done here. Have a nice day.

Louisville has the resources to pull just about any coach they want. The Payne hire was forced on an interim AD by a vocal group of former players and a president pushing a DEI agenda on the heels of the Breonna Taylor occurrence.
Your combination of confidence and stupidity is truly remarkable. It’s hard to believe this diatribe lines up with same stooge who is accusing others of peddling“conspiracies”.
Yes. The Louisville AD sat with his constituents and they agreed that the primary driver for hiring the next coach to guide one of the most important basketball programs in the country was DEI. Let’s ignore the fact that Payne was a hometown hero of a national championship Louisville team, won a national championship as an assistant, and six SEC championships. It also wasn’t the fact he was considered among the best assistants in the country and had been discussed as a potential HC at Louisville for years. Sorry folks. It’s not those qualifications. Vol Calls says he was hired for his skin color only. In fact, his hiring was “forced” on the AD due to Breonna Taylor. Nice work. You managed to lift your standing from “loud misguided idiot” to the much more impressive “paranoid racist idiot”. Well done.

I never said they don’t have the resources to get a top flight coach. I said they don’t have the resources of UT football (fact) and that they likely don’t have the financial sway that many think or that they would have had 20 years ago. They could absolutely go all in and go for a proven coach, just as any program in America can, but they simply aren’t the same program they were even 10-15 years ago, imo.

Saying UNC will be a one seed if they win the tournament. I still say SEC is better then ACC this year, but they are UNC, I guess.

It may not matter if the decision is already made, but noteworthy anyhow. There is a rumor that the NCAA Communications Director tweeted out that the Selection Committee selected and seeded the 1-seeds yesterday. No idea how true it is.

Where did you see this? That feels awful early.
