Uhhhh….Being #1 scares me. We always seem to lose our next game when we make it to #1!
Uhhhh….
We’ve been number 1 twice
Once under Pearl after our 1v2 against Memphis which we did lose the next game so we were only number 1 for 1 week
But back in 18/19ish we were number 1 for a month and won 6-8 games after being number 1
True, but it took a monumental comeback win and Grant Williams going for 43 pts and 8 rebs on 23-23 from the FT line to win that 1st game in OT against a Vandy team that went 0-18 in the SEC.Uhhhh….

Beat Memphis on a Saturday to get the #1 in 2008. Lost to Vandy the next game.
In 2019 TN reached #1 and had to go to Vandy the next game (again). TN won in OT at Memorial. I think it was the game that Grant didn’t miss a free throw in 20+ attempts.
Bilas just can’t shut up about Cooper Flag good grief
I still believe this will be the least number of regular season win for a champion since the move to 18 games.Tough loss, but I can’t be too disappointed. Auburn easily had the worst draw in the entire SEC-ACC battle by far; winning at Cameron Indoor is about as tough as it gets. With a big win Sunday, they probably won’t drop out of the top 5.
On the plus side, at least Tennessee slides into the #1 spot, so still a win either way! SEC play is going to be intense!
“NBA ready”Seriously. Watching the replay, Flag gets away with a hell of a lot of extra steps. During a slow motion replay of one of his layups, while Bilas was showering praise on him, you could see him take two steps, then a third step - and to make it even more obvious, he dragged his other foot while finishing the third step. A total of four steps. Bilas, of course, had nothing but praise for it as a great move.
First I’d like to be the first to congratulate you guys. Second,I have to brag a bit here on the Gators, 9-0, with a lot of blow out wins over decent competition:
UF 87 FSU 74
UF 75 Wake Forest 58
UF 88 Wichita State 51
UF 87 Virginia 69
None are ranked but Wichita State was 6-1, Wake was 6-2, heading into those games. The big game prior to SEC competition is UNC, on 12/17.
Would you like to address the talk about your HC stalking college coeds as well while you’re here?I have to brag a bit here on the Gators, 9-0, with a lot of blow out wins over decent competition:
