I don’t know the man so I’ll stop short of your last sentence but the first sentence is spot on based on the little I’ve seen. Maybe I’m wrong though. If I ever met him I’d certainly go in with an open mind.

Fair enough. You're giving him far more credit and benefit of doubt than I'm willing to, and that his continuous behavior would seem to warrant, but in person, perhaps he's salt of the earth. I guess I really don't know, and never will. He needs to grow up, though, and stop giving people the opportunity to perhaps unfairly judge him.

Totally agree. I hesitate because I had assumptions about Urban Meyer based on his public behavior and then someone I trusted told me a story about his friend’s kid who died of cancer and the kid was a huge Ohio State fan. Somehow Urban found out about the kid and went to see him. From then on Urban and the players were regular visitors and Urban called that kid (if not there in person that day) every single day for 6 months. While he had some very public issues, that changed my perspective some.

Good grief, I didn’t realize how many good wins Memphis had OOC. Mizzou, Michigan State, Clemson, Ole Miss, San Francisco, and UConn. That’s a very impressive group. It’s funny that beating UVA isn’t considered good this year.

Imagine being an 18 year old kid. These programs haven't been relevant in their lifetime. Outside of those Russell Westbrook/Kevin Love years for UCLA I feel the same way tbh.

UCLA has been to the S16 6x in the last 10 NCAATs with one F4 appearance in there (2021). They went to an additional 3 straight F4s from 06-08. All of that is roughly within the lifespan of an 18 year old. 9 S16s and 4 F4s is irrelevant?

Now, Indiana, I'll give you. But I think you may be misremembering some UCLA success.

We beat Vandy to get our revenge and the cherry on top of the day will be Kentucky losing to Texas tonight.
I made a post very similar post about Arkansas and us getting our revenge on Flordia after we lost to KY at home.

For sure. I think the Vols' absolute floor is #10 on the S-curve (a three seed), but the other teams in the one seed equation who aren't Auburn and Duke (Alabama, Florida, Houston, Purdue, A&M) need to start piling up losses and this would have been a good get.

My problem with Broome is that while the physical ability is clearly there, his post game is less subtle than Shaq. I can't believe more people don't flop against him because it should be able to draw a call.
