College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Looks like Arizona gonna get the W...good example of how hard conference games this time of year can be, especially on the road. Arizona is in overtime at RPI 170 Oregon State, Houston just lost at RPI 116 Memphis. These are 2 ranked teams that are projected to be similar seeds as we are that struggled with teams much worse than say Georgia, winning every game by double digits just doesn’t happen.

No easy wins. Too much familiarity with each other this time of year

I’m a big believer that you’ve gotta make the tourney every year and the breaks will come and you’ll eventually make a run.

But man it seems like a 3 seed could be the difference in making it an extra round or maybe even two.

Agree

Also, when it comes to locations, had Tennessee played in each of the last two tournaments and had to travel, the committee would purposeful try to get them to Nashville this year

When you see the #s, there’s a sizable jump in 1st round win% going from 5 to 4 (5/12 matchups are dangerous). But when it comes to 2nd and third round, there’s a sizable jump between 4 and 3. So when it comes to advancing past the first weekend, the 3 seed is important.

Ohio state vs Indiana currently playing. Indiana is most certainly outside of a Q1 game, but I would have hoped that they could give OSU a run. Looking pretty terrible right now

Michigan vs. Maryland
Wichita State vs. SMU
Georgia Tech vs. Clemson
Kansas vs. Texas Tech
Iowa State vs. West Virginia
Syracuse vs. Duke
Gonzaga vs. BYU
Auburn vs. Florida
Arizona vs. Oregon

Watching Villanova-Creighton. Officials get so many things wrong near the end of a game.
