I think this is the biggest SECT in quite some time for splitting hairs between us, Florida, & Bama for the final #1 seed. However, among those three Florida was 2-1 (and finished 2nd in the regular season), we were 2-1, and Bama was 0-2. Plus UF and Bama won at Auburn, and we almost did but no cigar.I think that final number 1 seed is going to be decided in the SEC tourney. We win it, we are definitely a number 1 seed because we will have had to beat one possibly two of the others to do that.
If you're a believer in metrics, Bama is #32 in defensive efficiency, UK is #55. Both can be really bad on defense and part of it is the pace and style of offense they play.
I think he means if both Florida and Houston win tonight. Nobody knows in what order the committee has those two on the S-curve. Only the early reveal where Florida was #4 and Houston was #8. That’s a lot of ground to make up. And yes, I know Florida lost a game since then and Houston hasn’t, but the committee has shown a historical propensity to focus on the overall body of work and not give too much credence to one game in March. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Florida ahead of Houston, especially since they were four spots ahead of them to begin with and with what they did to Alabama three days ago. What do you mean as predicted? Who has Florida #3 overall?
