College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I guess I’ll put this here as I’m not big on starting threads. We all know the SEC is the best conference and even media is saying it’s historically good. We all know what we did to the ACC in the challenge as we whipped them 14-2. There are other SEC vs ACC games, but that’s what happened in the challenge. The next 2 best conferences are clearly the Big 12 and Big 10 so I was curious how the SEC has fared against those conferences.

Against the Big 12, it’s the same as the ACC, the SEC went 14-2 with only Baylor beating Arkansas on a neutral court and A&M shockingly losing to UCF. To be fair, it was the first game of the year and at UCF. That fully supports what we’ve seen and heard about the SEC being historically good.

The Big 10 is a different story though. The SEC is just 10-9. I thought maybe it’s about the matchups but it’s not. The matchups are fairly even. If you take IU beating SC and Rutgers losing to Bama and A&M out, it’s dead even. Purdue, Illinois and Ohio State are all 2-2 against SEC teams. Oregon is apparently a SEC killer at 2-0. I was very surprised so thought I’d share. I wouldn’t say it changes the narrative, it’s just surprising.

That could be it. Maybe the schedule has been so grueling that when they play an inferior team, they don't take care of business the way they should.

But, I just don't watch them and go "wow"
Me neither. Couple of bad calls and we would have beat them, I really do want to play them again, They are arrogant punks. Flexing and starring down peeps on every made basket.
