Duncan had a more polished offensive skill set, but neither were the dominant force that Shaq was. Kenyon is one of the bounciest players I have ever had the pleasure of watching, and whenever someone says that someone plays bigger than they are, two people come to mind... Kenyon Martin and Charles Barkley

My thinking as well. I've seen Tim Duncan's college highlights. It's amazing he didn't average 25/15.

It's actually kind of nice in a weird way to be talking basketball so early.Translation-Viewing The Football Forum is getting less and less with this season only growing worse. Outside of Pearl's debacle, at least the b-ball program did so well last season it makes me want to invest my would-be football dollars into seeing the basketball team play this season even more.

The good thing about going to games is that it's really exciting because of our team's fast up-tempo style, and we rarely lose :cool2:

Bruce has really changed the "show" that goes on in the TBA, that is for sure. I enjoy going to the basketball games even more than a Saturday at Neyland. Although tailgaiting may take the overall gameday experience with football. lol

You honestly think Tim Duncan didn't have more in his post move arsenal than Cousins and Shaq as a freshman? Of course he did. The difference was that Shaq and Cousins weighed about 70 lbs more than Duncan as true freshman.

Who is the most talented? Cousins by a long shot. Great hands, great rebounder, great at getting position due to his 70 pounds more weight. As true freshmen, Cousins clearly better.

You forgot about that ever important quality of mouthing off to the coach. Cousins had them both in that regard... granted, a much bigger disparity with Duncan than with Martin... lol

I know a lot of people with more talent, but talent doesn't=being the better player. Tim Duncan's game was and is more under control, disciplined, and flat out better than Cousins.

Duncan was just as good of a rebounder, his hands were just as good as well. Cousins just had the weight on him. Duncan is probably the best 4 to ever play. Cousins is good, but I don't seem getting near that level.

Desperate times cause for desperate actions. The football program is parallel to a stock on a downward spiral. Love the Vols but lord have mercy.
