Colts vs Jets

I never once said it was because they lost. That is not why I don't like UT basketball or why I couldn't stand the Wade Houston era. Again, do some searching if you need the truth.

Alright I'm done. I know you're a Vol fan. I just wish you had a little respect for those of us who bonded with Peyton when we grew up. I notice that you're an A's fan. I bet you have a special place in your heart for the great A's baseball teams of the past. I just think people like you should think about that before they come here and rejoice in Peyton's demise.

hey...doesn't hatvol show up in these postseason threads if the Colts lose?....just wondering

I'm no colts fan and I am glad that the Steelers don't have to play Indy next week but I take no pleasure in seeing a guy who gave up millions of dollars to lead tennessee to an SEC title in 97 as dissapointed as he was tonight and frankly I don't understand how you can be a Vol fan and Peyton Manning hater after all the donations and the success he brought to tennessee. I would have felt the same way with Shaun Ellis if the Jets had lost and any former volunteer who had given 4 years of their life to play for the University.

i was in high school during Peyton's career, I was a season ticket holder. I went to a handful of road games. People shove Peyton down my throat every time he throws a TD pass. I get mine back when he loses. It's how it works. Sorry if it's a tough pill for a Peyton slurper to swallow. How about we rejoice in the fact that Eric Berry, Dustin Colquitt, Brad Cottam, Shaun Ellis, Morgan Cox, Donte Stallworth, Omar Gaither, Chad Clifton, Justin Harrell, Scott Wells, Jerod Mayo, Ramon Foster and Chris Scott are still in the playoffs? Why does Peyton get preferential treatment over these guys?

yeah i figured that, after the way he tore into him at the end of the super bowl

wasn't sure if it was a regular thing though or just that much because of that specific scenario

I like his Bball ideas but sometimes it is just straight hater. Similar to many folks, just have to be a hater, never good enough.

if you don't understand the difference in a top QB and a punter or long snapper than I don't know what to tell you. Also how many of those players went to the NFL after Manning or were marketed to the UT fanbase by their team like PM?

Probably because he was more important to the program than any one of them was. Of course, Morgan Cox is a close second.

If you dont understand. You have no clue. But deep down I think you do.

also all those players you listed were in on some key losses as well. Do you trot out Stallworth's record in SECCG's?

The first part is not at all fair, almost that entire list consisted of guys who were not punters or long-snappers. Hell, Eric Berry may have been the most beloved UT player since Peyton, what would the non-Colts/UT fans have done if KC played Indy later in the playoffs?

they're all players from UTK, bottom line. And of course most of them went to the NFL after Manning. Manning is closing out on the end of his career, whether you slurpers want to admit it or not. Most positions don't have the longevity of a qb. The fact that Titan fans cheer for the Colts too proves how pathetic the Peyton slurping is.

And the quality of the argument continues to decline calling people slurpers.

the fact UT fans cheer for the Titans is another issue but it's been discussed many times. There was just a huge difference in what the Colts did to get UT fans and what any other team has done. I do think the Chiefs have made some effort though

So there is something wrong with supporting the Titans?

none of them play for the Redskins. Sadly the only Vol my 'Skins have is one of the most embarassing excuses for a former Vol in any professional sport, possibly the most. He did great things as a Vol and I'll never forget that.

Not being a fan of the Colts is fine. I just don't understand the hate on your part for Manning. It's not like he left college as the all-time winningest QB in the history of the sport or anything...:whistling:
