Concerning the "Best Staff in the Country" jokes

Was "winning attitude" and "pride" also coach speak?
Just want to be clear.

To be clear - It's called winning the press conference.

I honestly believe that CBJ doesn't want anyone but his guys on the staff. This staff is not a bunch of mismatched pieces - they are a tight group. I think CBJ believes what he said even if no one else does.

Butch and his staff have proven elite recruiters being able to win over recruits despite the lack of recent success.

It's been 6 yrs / 7 seasons since Tennessee has had a relevant football team.

What exactly has CBJ and his staff done to disappoint you in his first 13 months on the job?

1) Most EEs in school history?
2) Top 5 recruiting class?
3) Beat a Top 10 team first time since 2006 or 2007?

I admit the Vandy game was disappointing, but not an upset IMO. Georgia game also disappointed but showed flashes of what this program will be in years to come - Aaron Murray is a 4 yr starter and he won that game more than Vols lost it.

Just having a hard time understanding why all the negativity when I contrast Butch to Dooley. It is a world of difference IMHO.

To CBJ this is the best staff in the country, simply because it's his staff and it's who he wanted to be on his staff. IMO there's not one coach there he didn't want there. The only coach that turned him down was Tee and we got Coach Z instead. So if I was in his shoes and got to assemble the staff I wanted with only one turning me down, I would say that it was the best in the country.

Haters are just gonna hate bro.....negative people can only find things to whine about...they can't remember any of the positives nor believe there has been any.....but damn they can't forget the negatives.....it is that simple.

When you coach in a conference with Nick Saban, Steve Spurrier, Kevin Sumlin, etc. it's probably best to keep comments like that to yourself. Although, his team did get Spurrier's team this past season. Still.

You do realize that his statement of the best coaching staff is merely an opinion from him. So, to Saban, his Alabama staff may be the best staff. That is his opinon.

Off subject, but sure glad that Dorial Green Beckman didn't come the Tennessee. He ended up being arrest in Missouri on drug charges.......

Check out ESPN for the article....

Until this staff gets the players that will work in their schemes, there shouldn't be any issues about how good this staff is going to be. It's all about the players on the roster.

When he says "best staff in America", it's reasonable that I don't have to google almost every 1 of them. That's all.

if we get blown out a few times this season I think Jones will be forced to show if his loyalty will hurt Tennessee or not.

Best for who?...Fragile souls who latch onto everything, soak it in and express it through their urethras? No one who matters gives a crap about this supposed violation...Butch believed it,said it and this team will live it...spay and neuter your pets to help control the animal population. :)

It is sad you believe someone has to be flawless and perfect. I thought only one man was perfect....and he died on a cross....and then there apparently is you.

If the cross is ANTIQUE...Doyle ain't getting on it! :)

Of course I realize that. Everyone has an opinion. So why open yourself up to this?

It's just coach's speak that wasn't really necessary.

Apparently Doyle and Count are on the Board of College Coaching Grading and Measuring for Greatness Levels. It is there occupation to hold onto those words while they analyze the data.

Heaven forbid you go to work and your boss thinks you are one of the greatest employees he has ever hired. When they've delivered their boss's vision with great results.

"I'm mean motivating tools and pride in your employees can not be tolerated. Beatings will continue until moral is lowered staff!"----Nick Saban

5-7 is never considered great.

However, it's still too early to completely judge.
