Realistically, I don't either. However, since I have the SEC reacting to what other conferences will do, becoming the biggest of the superconferences might help them negotiate the biggest TV contract and would almost certainly lead to the creation of an SEC network.I don't see the SEC going to 18 teams.
There have been talks of 4 super conferences, so here are my thoughts.
PAC-16 E
Arizona, ASU, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A & M, Texas Tech.
PAC-16 W
Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State.
BIG 16 E
Cincy, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue.
BIG 16 W
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin
SEC E
Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee
SEC W
Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Kansas, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Vandy
ACC SOUTH
Duke, East Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, South Florida, Wake Forest
ACC NORTH
Boston College, UConn, Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia
With Baylor, Boise State, & Kansas State going to the Mountain West.
I want the SEC to stay exactly the way it is! I dont like the idea of super conferences at all (16 teams, two 8 team divisions). The SEC is perfect right now, and if it aint broke dont fix it! I agree with the big ten adding 1 team, so they can have 2 divisions and have a championship game, and the PAC ten adding 2. Whatever maybe im just a traditionalist.
If the other super conferences are built with powerhouses and the SEC 16 is built with second tier programs, the SEC will then have little chance at a NC similar to the way Boise State and TCU had virtually no shot at a NC last season.
I don't get why anyone would want Texas, Oklahoma, VT, FSU, etc. in the SEC if you're a UT fan. We're already struggling as it is with UF, Bama, LSU, UGA, and Auburn. I don't want to add anymore powerhouses.
I personally don't understand why UF and Bama would want this either. I understand the money deal, but it's going to get real old when we just don't have a chance every year.
I'm probably one of the few that will say this, but I will LOVE Clemson to join the SEC. Reason? I live here. I would LOVE to go see Clemson play UT, UF every year (yes I would wear UT orange when yall came to town). Here's my mock conference outlook based partially on info that's floating around and partially what might happen as a result...
Pac 16 W
WSU, UW, Ore, OrSt, Stan, Cal, Ucla, USC
Pac 16 E
Ariz, ArizSt, OkSt, Okla, Tex, TTU, Bay, TAM
Super 16
Neb, Minn, Iowa, IowaSt, Kan, KSU, Illin, Wisc, Mizz, Mich, MichSt, Ind, OhioSt, PennSt, NW, Pur
ACC
BC, Miami, UNC, Duke, NCSt, WF, Mary, UVA
SEC W
Ala, Miss, Aub, LSU, MissSt, Ark, Louisville, FSU, Van
SEC E
UT, UF, UGA, SoCar, UK, VT, GT, Clem, WVU
Colorado would join the Mountain West (along with Boise State)
I, like most SEC fans, would love it if the Big 12 South joined the SEC, but this mock is based on the most prevalent info (misinfo) out there right now. The Big 10 would become the Super 16 and I would have no clue how to configure their divisions because an east-west setup would likely put Mich, OhioSt, and PennSt in one division. Basically the ACC would go back to being a Basketball conference. I KNOW IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN LIKE THIS. It's just my opinion, that said, fire away.
if the SEC had to add two teams......
i say north carolina and duke. (basketball and academics improve drastically). football would still be a very good league.
if they had to add four.
i'd say north carolina, duke, virginia and florida state.
(academics improve, except FSU). basketball improves drastically and football adds a power.
The worst idea Ive heard anywhere. Terrible idea.

I don't think Clemson, Ga Tech or Louisville would help the SEC financially.
Sorry not trying to attack you personally, but this is the silliest thing I have read on here in a LONG time.:lolabove:
