Control Of House 2022

I'll believe it if I see it in November. Personally I think all this talk about the Hispanics and Blacks flipping is a bunch of BS
Well hold on. Flipping is a strong phrase. I think what people are saying for now is that you are going to see less support to the DNC and/or more support for GOP candidates. I don't think any reasonable person is expecting blacks to go from 90/10 one direction to 10/90 the other. The Hispanic vote may swing a bit because they are not as tilted so heavily in supporting Democrats.

But if you are sitting back waiting for minorities to overwhelming move majority Red, I agree, I will need to see that to believe it also.

There may be a marginal difference with the black vote.
If going from 10% to 25% GOP support is marginal than I guess we can agree to an extent. I'm not expecting much more of a push than that in 2022. But, it will not be getting any worse because the boomer generation blacks are the most hardcore Democrat supporters and they are gradually going away.

I hear some fantastic interviews with Hispanic House candidates. 2nd generational candidates. And to top it off the Dems call them right extremists. Dems gotta Dem..No disputing policy, just character assignation.
The Democratic Party is a party of division politics..All they got in their coalition of aggrieved.
I've been saying this for a few years now.

I don't think the vote gets up past 18% this year. Maybe a stretch goal is 20% in 2024. Two different types of elections. .

Blacks are being so marginalized to the point of being just a fringe electoral group. Chipping away at something that has been aggregately chipped away.

A case of being marginalized but unable to fix it because of chasing the wrong root causes. Less important today in politics than 25 years ago and hadn't totally grasped why or unwilling to do anything about it.

‘Nobody is coming to save us’: Florida Dems struggle ahead of August primary

90

TAMPA, Fla. — Florida Democrats were publicly optimistic during their three-day convention in Tampa this weekend. They danced late into the night, roared at jokes about Republicans and swapped stories and drinks at various bars.

Privately, however, there was a sense of fatalism among state Democrats, who are heading into the 2022 midterms with an unpopular president, the highest inflation in 40 years and incumbents such as Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis raking in millions and seeming unstoppable.

Adding to their problems is a dearth of national donor groups that have limited how much they’re willing to give to candidates after Democrats have suffered multiple defeats in recent election cycles.

My wife and I are registered democrats. Yep we are. And for the first time in over 4 years we got a call the other day from the dimwit party telling us to go out and vote for the democrat party candidates. My wife and I both did the GoodFellas impression of laughter.

Y’all probably voted for Biden and didn’t know it

An ass whipping in the midterms would actually work out for Democrats looking to 2024. They'd be able to blame the back half of Biden's do nothing term on obstructionist Republicans (instead of ****** half baked policy) while floating trial balloons on who's going to replace him. They could also use the Republican majority as a scapegoat for whatever shitstorm will be stealing our will to live in 2024.

Absolutely, it's a two sided coin.

We’ll that’s good. Now Baltimore can continue its multi-decade run of prosperity and human flourishing, but now with a democrat governor. Great news.
Well they gave a repub governor 8 years. Did Baltimore flourish?

And that is the card they will play......will it work? Depends on the republican nominee. The Hispanics abandoning the dems can't work out well for them though.

Former President Donald Trump endorsed former Navy SEAL Eli Crane for Congress, who is running in the Republican primary for Arizona’s Second Congressional District in August, hoping to then take on Rep. Tom O’Halleran (D-AZ) in November.

“Eli Crane has my Complete and Total Endorsement,” Trump emphasized in his endorsement of the Republican candidate.

Fundraising By AOC’s Progressive NY Pals Sputters Ahead of Primaries

The Green New Deal may be in the red.

Progressives locked in tough primaries across the state posted abysmal fundraising numbers in their quarterly disclosure forms, suggesting grassroots energy on the far left continues to wane.

The data shows that even the blessing of “Squad” leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has failed to move the needle.

“People are just tired of them. They look around and see increased crime, more chaos and they blame the progressives for it,” said veteran Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf — who cautioned that in low-turnout August elections, the winner will be whoever has the best ground game to turn out supporters.

If Republicans get anything done then it won't help the democrats in 2024. If Biden obstructs it won't help the democrats in 2024. If the only thing the Republicans get done is build safeguards so the democrats can't destroy our republic in the future then they've had a productive two years.

Everyone except for a far left Democrat should vote Republican in 2022. If you vote Dem you vote for the end of the filibuster and a stacked SCOTUS. If you want to give Dems that kind of power then you're nothing but a far left Democrat
