Control Of House 2022

It looks like Nadler left her one there on purpose. Nadler looks like he's trying to keep it from running down his leg.

That had to one of the funnier scenes I had seen in congress. Nancy took off her mask and smelled it.

ha the other one is where nads waddles like a fat duck in front of ol' shitf head to give the final fail arguments in failed impeachment 1 of 45... "no no no jerry! no no!" lmfao

Well at least Nadler hasn't been seen sleeping at work lately. I guess the media probably got smart and took the cameras off of him.

Liz Cheney suggests DeSantis’ similarity to Trump makes him a ‘dangerous’ alternative in 2024 amid speculation over who will lead the GOP ticket - as Republican senator claims Democrats WANT ex-president to announce before midterms

GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' similarity to Donald Trump would make him a 'dangerous' presidential candidate in 2024.

In an interview with the New York Times, the conservative Trump critic said she could support a Republican nominee - but not one that peddled the ex-president's election fraud claims.

Nor could she back DeSantis, Cheney suggested, despite the GOP governor's skyrocketing popularity over his opposition to the Biden administration on COVID-19 mandates and legislation that Democrats have described as anti-LGBTQ.

Wyoming can't get this carpet bagger out of D.C. fast enough.

‘To me, Liz Cheney is Obi-Wan Kenobi,’ says WaPo columnist on PBS News Hour

Liz Cheney faces a congressional primary in Wyoming on August 16

Washington Post and MSNBC contributor Jonathan Capehart compared Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and former President Trump to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader in "Star Wars" on Friday.

Capehart and New York Times columnist David Brooks appeared on "PBS News Hour" with Judy Woodruff to discuss various topics, including Cheney's upcoming primary.

Brooks called Cheney "a hero," but noted she is behind her Republican challenger by more than 22 percent and likely to lose her seat. That's when Capehart praised her as comparable to a beloved Jedi.

"And, look, I keep thinking about the scene in ‘Star Wars: Episode IV,’ when Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi are battling it out on the Death Star. And Obi-Wan says to Darth Vader, ‘If you strike me down, I will come back more powerful than you can imagine,’" Capehart said.

Liz Cheney’s Husband Is Partner At Law Firm Representing Hunter Biden

Philip Perry, who is married to Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, is a partner at the same law firm representing Hunter Biden.

Philip Perry, who is married to Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, is a partner at the same law firm representing President Joe Biden’s scandal-ridden son, Hunter.

Last week, the Daily Mail reached out to Hunter Biden’s attorney for comment on a story unearthing new details to the extent the younger Biden leveraged the family name for lucrative overseas business ventures. In 2014, the paper reported, then-Vice President Biden met with a pair of Chinese energy executives connected to Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals.

An attorney named Christopher Clark, who is listed with the firm Latham & Watkins as partner, responded to the Daily Mail’s request for comment calling the reporter a “parasite” in an otherwise nonsensical email full of typos.

Perry is also listed as a partner with Lathan & Watkins on the firm’s website while his wife runs for re-election on an anti-Trump platform ahead of the Wyoming primary next week.

Pro-Impeachment Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler Loses To Trump-Backed Primary Challenger

Retired Green Beret Joe Kent defeated Republican Washington Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in a primary challenge stemming from her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

With 92% of ballots counted, Democrat Marie Glusenkamp Perez received 31% support, Kent received 22.8% support, and Herrera Beutler received 22.3 %. Kent, Herrera Beutler’s chief GOP challenger, raised $2.25 million and was endorsed by Trump. Several election analysts called the race on Monday night. Washington’s universal vote-by-mail rules allow voters to submit ballots up through election day, meaning that the results of races are not often immediately clear. (RELATED: Pro-Impeachment Rep. Dan Newhouse Skates Past Trump-Endorsed Primary Challenge)

Kent aligned his campaign around Herrera Beutler’s impeachment vote, as well as claims about voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election. He has also suggested that the Federal Bureau of Investigation played a role in instigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. In addition, Kent has asserted that U.S. support for Ukraine is a distraction from domestic policy failures and that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war aims are “very reasonable” and “a decent starting point.”

I think Liz Cheney just loves the approval being given to her by the left wing press. Very similar to Mitt Romney.

Instead of a GOP Congress wasting time on more investigations and impeachments that will go nowhere and ultimately do nothing for the people of this Country...

If Trump or DeSantis is elected in 2024 with a GOP Congress/Senate, the absolute best thing that they could do is oversee the peaceful secession and breakup of the Union.

I have no want to enforce Tennessee culture/values/views of govt on more Leftist States like CA, NY, MA, etc. and likewise I dont want their culture/govt/values imposed on my State.

This is no longer a Union that the people of sovereign States are happy with nor is it bearing fruit any longer for those people.

It's time, while it can still be done peacefully and both sides can remain peaceful once the split is complete.

If that were to happen, which I don't see it being the case, the left would integrate with and as European a culture and government with their remaining states.

Cheney, facing near certain defeat in Wyoming's GOP primary, eyes bigger battle ahead

Cheney said in recent weeks that making sure Trump never regains the presidency is more important than her own re-election

But there’s a feeling among Cheney’s team of supporters that her crusade against Trump this year as she runs for re-election will improve her national name recognition and bolster any potential 2024 Republican presidential nomination campaign by the congresswoman
