Control Of House 2022

Or it's a precursor to some crazy crap in 2022 that they can pass without the concern of being re-elected. Call me a pessimist but this is my fear.
Or it because they are being pushed into a corner about passing caca and do have some morals and love for the country and by refusing know they won't get the party support.

Am I wrong, if Trump were to be elected/appointed to a seat in the house, The republicans take the house and he is elected Speaker, then house bring articles of impeachment on Biden and Harris, which the Senate finds true... Trump would be President again?

He would but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

It would be the end of our system of govt

I'm putting it out there before the Dems, this could be their winning platform, the "Vote Against Trump" worked for Biden.

Trump is teasing people, he's not going to run again as much as his ego would like him too. He'll get behind someone and do rallies for them to usher them into the White House.

It would be nice if he completely sat this one out.
The geriatric set is having a really hard time right now giving up power. On the right you have big ego Trump and on the left you have Hillary and Biden. It's a real life power play said in my best monster truck arena voice.

The funny thing is...you do not have to be a member of Congress to be the Speaker of the House.

The rule book is the rule book. Democrats decided to use impeachment as a cheap political ploy. Now they have to live with the unintended consequences
Then so would repubs as we went downhill very fast. It would render elections even more useless than they are now. One of the dumbest ideas I've read on here and that's saying something

Not that I necessarily agree or disagree, but Hey if you can't beat the system...you make it a cluster so they become ineffective. Win for the 10th.

Republicans could win their biggest majority in the House since the Great Depression in 2022
House Republicans’ Drive to 35 – Sabato's Crystal Ball
Something really sticks out when using verbiage for each side...

“Assuming Republican gerrymanders stand in North Carolina and Ohio — both are being challenged in state courts —“

“Their total number of gains will likely need to be larger than 35, though, because even in bad years the party on the right side of the political environment usually loses at least one or more seats. That will be the case in 2022 for Republicans, if only because of reapportionment and redistricting.”

Flip: More adults identify as Republicans, giving biggest edge in 25 years

President Joe Biden’s unpopularity has driven U.S. adults over to the Republican Party.

In the last few months, as Biden’s approval rating has sunk to as low as 33%, the party voters identify with has shifted a remarkable 14 points in the fourth quarter, from Democrats leading by 9 points to the GOP ahead by 5.

Democrats generally always lead Republicans in party identification, and independents outnumber both. By the end of December, the gap had shrunk, and even Gallup said the shift was notable.

“The year 2021 was an eventful one in politics, after a similarly eventful 2020 that also saw major shifts in party preferences. In early 2021, Democratic strength reached levels not seen in nearly a decade. By the third quarter, those Democratic gains evaporated as Biden's job approval declined. The political winds continued to become more favorable to Republicans in the fourth quarter, giving the GOP an advantage over Democrats larger than any they had achieved in more than 25 years,” Gallup wrote in its analysis. “The final monthly survey of 2021 showed the parties at roughly even strength, although that still represents a departure from the historical norm of the Democratic Party's having at least a slight advantage in party affiliation."

House Democrat exit list grows to 28 as Rhode Island's Langevin, California's McNerney, announce Retirements

Two more House Democrats – Reps. Jim Langevin of Rhode Island and Jerry McNerney of California – announced on Tuesday that they won't seek reelection in this year's midterm elections.

The announcements from the two lawmakers brings to 28 the number of Democrats in the chamber who are retiring after the current term or seeking another elective office in November

Democrats hope to defend their razor-thin majority in the House in the midterms, amid a rough political climate. The GOP needs a net gain of just five seats in the 435-member chamber next year to regain the House majority it lost to the Democrats in the 2018 elections.
