Speaking as an outsider, I would suggest that some are fans not only of our own team, but also of women's basketball in general, and therefore enjoy the insights and perspectives of other fans.
We're a minority, though, and I think that is one reason why popular support for the women's game lags so far behind that of men. The majority of WCBB fans will only watch when their team is playing; majority of fans of the men's game will be interested in watching games not involving their team.
Interesting thought, but still doesn't really explain why fans will go another team's board AND then think it's OK to talk smack.
I've been to SC not that long ago when there weren't 250 people in the whole gym. And half of those wore ORANGE.
But hey, I'm glad bandwagon chickens can brag for a minute. *crows*
