Coronavirus (No politics)

there is a certain logic to waiting to get it. one, vaccine. second, it's weakened.
My youngest daughter had it for the second time a few weeks ago, plus she had received all three shots last year...she had no symptoms at all this time and wouldn't have known she had it if she hadn't tested after her fiance caught it.

Daughter's entire family got it 6 months ago. Have had everything going around since then, and just got it again this week. Definitely whacked immune system.

Hope they get better. Young adults tend not to do the things that keep them from getting totally wrecked until after the crash. At least that's the way ours are. They may come out of this smarter and more eager to do things better going forward.

Thank you so much. I hope your daughter gets better soon. I've been so meticulous in trying to avoid covid because I'm terrified of what the potential consequences could be for OH since he's already very sick. I think (hope) I will emerge from it fine bc I'm in relatively good health but you never know how your body is going to react to these things. I can only hope that whatever we've picked up, if it is covid (and it probably is), that it's a weak strain. I will never forgive myself if after all this me giving him covid is what kills him.

It's not on you. People are getting this stuff by just living, it's that contagious. Praying for a hedge of protection around y'all.

Despite many having similar symptoms, there's many others across the spectrum. From the worst, to almost nothing more than the sniffles. My aunt's husband tested positive at the same time as her. We laid her to rest and he never had much more than a severe cold.
(Admittedly, she hadn't received her booster, he had.) But you see the same stories in everyone, regardless. Hoping your OH doesn't get it all but if so, there's a good possibility for the weaker strain or that the effects are of the "lighter" variety.
Will keep you, your OH, SaS and SugarCC in our T&P. Along with our members that said they and their families are all ready in recovery.
Take care everyone.

Trying to avoid Covid forever was a pipe dream, so please don't feel bad, it was inevitable unless you live on a deserted island or in a bubble.

Trying to stop Covid is like trying to hold the wind.
It’s going to be our secondary flu, not to say it’s the same. It’s just here to stay.

It's Covid roulette...hopefully it starts to become way less deadly for elderly or otherwise frail folks in the coming years.

Trying to avoid it forever is impossible.

Thank you for the kind words and I’m so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I know that is everyone’s nightmare when it comes to COVID. Sending you love and hugs friend.

After 2 years of avoiding Covid I finally caught it. Uggghhh....it comes at an inconvenient time during my training at my new job but I'm hoping I can get back to work around Tuesday of next week.

Can anyone who was vaccinated and still caught it tell me if 5 days recovery is realistic? I started feeling crappy Thursday afternoon, woke up feeling like hammered **** on Friday(fever, headache, aches/pains & congestion) and woke up today feeling mostly respiratory symptoms.

I haven't lost my sense of taste and not sure about smell because of all the congestion. Please direct any prayers to @SweetasSoda , I'm mostly healthy and not quite 40 so I'll be fine....just frustrated.

It really depends on the person.
If you don't feel well after day 5, then you don't feel well.

It's realistic for some, others not so much.
I caught it after being vaccinated and I was running 1 mile 4 days later...but at same time lwanted to go to the hospital at the end of day 2. I was constantly sweating. I took 4 showers a day.

Bananas, water, rest will do your body good.

Thanks man. First day sucked and today I slept half the day and loaded up on vitamins. I just want to be able to be around my family and go to work ASAP. I'm salary so it's fine but I'm bored and need to learn my new job before my boss is off due to his wife giving birth.

Well, after almost two years, it finally got me. My wife tested positive on Jan. 26. I woke up today after thinking I dodged it with a massive headache and congestion. Took an at home test and I’m positive.

This study is a great example of how bad some of these clinical trials that claim ivermectin works actually are.

If you are interested in ivermectin as a clinical trial the activ-6 trial is still recruiting. Will ship med to your home free.
But that requires Science. And these people are afraid of Science.
