I know we want to tout the SEC here and the weakness of TT, but what the heck does Tech have to play for in this game? They went from BCS to playing Ole Miss. That's a recipe for disaster.

I agree with that, but it has to be tough for them to care. The current players aren't about the history of the program and there's no real upside to them winning this game.I'd buy that more if they were a big time program like Texas or Oklahoma. This is one of the biggest bowls TT has ever been in.
no argument. I think TT, Mizzou, TX and OU are all massively overrated due to their lack of D, but I'm just making the point.I picked Ole Miss to win. They'd worked all season in trying to show off to the media that they're legitimate this time. Well, other than a great home win against Texas what have they accomplished? A blowout to Oklahoma. A potential loss to Ole Miss. Hopefully everyone buying into them will now realize that they're nothing more than a Kansas or Mizzouri type team. Until they realize there's more to the game than just throwing it around, they'll just continue to come up short in these type games.

Our Vols have laid a many a bowl game eggs to some shoddy competition due to lack of motivation.
but how does beating Ole Miss help them with that chip on their shoulder? The 4th down play is further proof that Leach is a moron. I agree about some eggs the Vols have laid, but still, you'd think that since this is the first time they've been a player in the Big 12 Championship that they'd be motivated to go out and prove that they're better than that Oklahoma debacle.
