Based on what? His 54 yards passing vs Vandy? Dobbs is not very good. 2 tds 6 ints is hard to beat out? I hope Ferguson is better than Dobbs, if not then Worley will be starting again. Dobbs is not sec material.

auburn has had great success with juco QBs, the dudes we have may not work out. Haven't looked good so far. :question:

Which is why you look with your eyes and not stats.

Nick Marshall is one of the best athletes in college football.

Dobbs is a guy with a little above average speed.

They are not in the same stratosphere.

Dobbs has no shifting ability either, which is arguably Marshall's greatest asset

Agree. Idk why people are still so high on him and down on Worley. If Worley doesn't get hurt we beat Vandy and probably go 7-5.

So you are saying Dobbs is not going to improve ? I agree Worley May be the starter but to say Dobbs is not SEC material is funny. Most people on here said the same thing about Worley. Dobbs was a freshmen and if you thought he was going to come in and throw for 5 tds and 300 yds then you set your own self up for a let down. I bet you had hopes for him after the Bama game where he looked pretty good.

Intelligence doesn't equate to being a successful QB's otherwise the league would be full of Ivy League Qb's

Furg is the future that's why Josh Malone Committed. He didn't like what he saw out of 14 or 11 but they sold him on 10.

I'd look for 14 to start the year 10 to finish it.

I begged for anybody but Worley and I was so wrong. Neither of the freshman were ready last year and butch knew it Worley can't throw well but at least he didn't make costly mistakes constantly.

Marshall is a JUCO transfer, and Dobbs is a true freshman. Sure there are some freshman that comes out of the gates, and set the world on fire, but some need more development than others. Give Dobbs a chance to develop and to have the weapons around him to shine.

Just shows that these Coaches need to look at all the Athletes and see where they can best help the team Win. Marshall was just a back up DB at UGA and now look at him once given an opportunity.

I am pretty sure most everyone in this world would take Aaron Murray at QB instead of Nick Marshall. Marshall is a great athlete that could probably play several positions, and Malzahn has used him well in his system. But Marshall is not a good passer. The two best SEC defenses either beat him or should have beat him, and MSU played him tough. There are many interesting comments in this thread, but I prefer a QB who can do a little of both running and passing. No doubt, they have made it work but they have also been fortunate. If Malzahn had someone who could really pass, they would be lethal.

Need to see Ferguson play. We have seen Worsley.. Dobbs. And Peterman. I believe we are going to get blown away when ferggi hits the de k..

Ferguson is much better than anyone we have because he traveled to the Oregon game. :eek:lol: the Worley hate on this site is pathetic. He was starting to really click with the offense before getting hurt. With as many young guys coming next season, I think it would be better to have a more experienced QB at the helm. It would not surprise me to see Worley as the starter next season.
