Could Dobbs and Hurd...

Ferguson is much better than anyone we have because he traveled to the Oregon game. :eek:lol: the Worley hate on this site is pathetic. He was starting to really click with the offense before getting hurt. With as many young guys coming next season, I think it would be better to have a more experienced QB at the helm. It would not surprise me to see Worley as the starter next season.

Sorry K town that post was not meant to be about you. I quoted the wrong post.

No worries. We are in agreement. I actually hope Worley starts next year and gives Riley a chance to develop more and be more than ready as a RS Soph. As young as we are everywhere else, we could really benefit from an experienced QB.

Not a huge difference when looking at stats. 6.6 yds per carry for Marshall and 5 for dobbs.

I also could argue that dobbs was sacked on a more frequent rate which made his yd per carry number lower than Marshall's because they don't pass much at all and sacks are very rare

Dobbs is very good on the zone read

Yeah as shown by all the touchdowns he scored......Oh wait

I would love to see an offensive formation with Dobbs and Fergie in the backfield with either Hurd or Lane. Line them both up in a shotgun. Dobbs could throw short or run the zone read, and Fergie could throw short or throw long. A fast paced system with two quarterbacks on the field could be creative.

Agree 100%. I just really don't understand the Worley hate. I mean this was his first year as a starter in a brand new system with new coaches. Despite that he still performed well. An experienced QB will definitely help us tremendously next season. That's not a knock on Dobbs or Ferguson but i would think everyone would want an experienced QB to help the younger guys out.

Not to say Dobbs can't improve or even turn out to be the guy but I repeatedly heard, from many sources, that if Ferguson had been healthy when Worley went down he'd have been the one coming off the bench first.

And he would be the one catching all the heat and Dobbs would be the best quarterback. We all know how this works.

Worley i considered him to be a freshmen no more than he had played last year and he was starting to look good as a QB,before his injury

Petermen sure did look like a freshmen, playing hurt with his thumb against Fla didn't he ? he needs another chance

Dobbs he looked like a true freshmen too didn't he ? I did think he would be more accurate passing the ball

Ferguson a red shirt freshmen, that hasn't seen a snap this year

the QB position is wide open as far as i can tell, hopefully one stands out this spring and takes over
